My artistic journey, and the thoughts and feelings associated with it. Friday, February 26, 2010. I came to an artistic epiphany this past week. Thinking about it won't make me a better artist. I need to create art! Now a lot of you are saying, "Well, duh! Well, I'm now buzzing with artistic endeavors! PS By th...

My artistic journey, and the thoughts and feelings associated with it. Monday, March 15, 2010. One of our guild members, Darla Hall, was our speaker at this month's quilt guild. Meeting. Darla has been quilting for about five years, and her trunk show was amazing. She works full time, and commutes 120 miles one way. In addition to her own quilt pieces, she has a long-arm machine, and machine quilts as a side business. She's gotten more done in those five years than I've done in ten! On my commute home th...

My artistic journey, and the thoughts and feelings associated with it. Saturday, February 19, 2011. July 2010 BJP, AVQA Meeting, Terry Waldron, More Fabric. I missed last week's post, so I may not go through the whole two weeks! We'll see. I've been doing a lot of work; I'm really excited! Okay, so what did I miss? July's paisley is done! DARE TO BE CREATIVE! Thursday, April 23, 2015. Miss Mattie's Flower Garden. My second Scrap Squad. Quilt was featured on the Quilty Pleasures Blog. Last week. I named this quilt after my MaMa Skaggs. Her name was Mattie. You can see the original quilt on the blog post. I used the original block pattern but rearranged the blocks to get a diagonal line that resulted in large diagonal squares.
