In Between: Twelve days to 13.1 miles...
http://danaindenver.blogspot.com/2009/04/twelve-days-to-131-miles.html
Monday, April 20, 2009. Twelve days to 13.1 miles. A horrible thought hit me yesterday - what if the weather on May 3 is as uncooperative as it was Thurs-Sat this past week. I'm all about layers, but seriously, I'm not interested in donning my down coat in this adventure. And I'm happy to report, the least anticipated portion on my plans for the half marathon day - being on a bus, in Fort Collins, by 5:00 or so in the morning. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Sunday, December 14, 2008. Things have been pretty crazy around here since Thanksgiving, and now Christmas is less than two weeks away. Time for a catch up post.in pictures. Thanksgiving weekend with some of the family at Keystone. Daven and Avery (my niece and nephew) at Der Fondue Chessel - Avery was 3 for the night! Chef Daven working the raclette grill! Avery on the tubing hill before dinner. Daven enjoying the entertainment during our fondue dinner. And more tubing. Adam had never been tubing...
In Between: It's not just at my house!
http://danaindenver.blogspot.com/2008/12/its-not-just-at-my-house.html
Sunday, December 28, 2008. It's not just at my house! This picture proves that Norm is just plain scared of activity in the kitchen. It happened on more than one occasion at mom's this past week that when anyone was cooking in the kitchen, the dog could be found, in the far corner of the living room, tucked away safely between the couch and the lamp. Sunday, May 24, 2009. So with that, here are pictures from "The Lemonade Trip" to Aspen this weekend. A little schoolhouse outside of Leadville. Heading up Independence Pass. It was not long after this shot was taken that it was deemed unsafe to try and get licorice out of the bag while driving at anytime the guardrail is nonexistent. At the top of Independence Pass. Is it just me or does it look like they carved out the top of the sign so that people would know they're at the top of the pass? The flower...
In Between: July 2008
http://danaindenver.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 20, 2008. The backpacking trip was AMAZING! I think that the pictures can pretty much tell the story. We went up 1215 feet in just shy of 3 miles - with packs weighing in between 26 and 35 pounds. We marveled often at the scenery and were incredibly blessed with the most amazing weather. The pictures won't tell the near disaster stories of the trip.there were a few.I'll tell you at the end of the story. Just a little ways up the trail from Bear Lake - happy to be out on the trail! Making my ...

Stumbling about | Exploring the personality in business
Recently, Katie and I went to Yosemite for a wedding. It was my first time, and I can’t believe I haven’t gotten up there before. Places like Yosemite make me realize how insignificant we all are when compared to nature. The morning of the wedding, we hiked up to a waterfall at Hetch Hetchy. It turns out the cave is pretty short, only a few hundred yards at most. So no big deal, but the misleading distance to the light reminded me of the Stockdale Paradox which Jim Collins discusses in his book. Admiral ...
