Learning to be the mom, wife and friend God has called me to be. We have some big decisions to make. Well, as a parent of young children, of course we have some big decisions. This one in particular is about school. A friend emailed me some information about our local elementary school. In the subdivision. It was surprising to me and Mark. The number of subsidized lunches is supposedly 83%. In addition, the spending per pupil is $16k a year! Indeed, Alexandria Public Schools even made headlines in.

http://ourpumpkinpatch.blogspot.com/2015/01/hooray-for-snow-day.html
A blog about our family and how our growing children help us grow, too. Hooray for a snow day! We have a much needed snow day today. Madelyn has been sick, and we had a very busy weekend that ended with a sick Madelyn and an ER visit for Pierce resulting in 5 staples in his head. Everyone is fine now, but we needed a recovery day. We prayed last night for a healthy Madelyn and a snow day; Jehovah Jireh! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Hooray for a snow day! Shhh It's a surprise! A New Rakow Beginning.

Our Pumpkin Patch: September 2014
http://ourpumpkinpatch.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
A blog about our family and how our growing children help us grow, too. We went to North Myrtle Beach last month with my parents and had a great time. I hadn't seen the beach (unless you count 1.5 days in Italy which wasn't too shabby) in 6 years, and I just loved it. I'm definitely a beach girl, and all of the kids loved it, too. No one was scared of the ocean and they all loved playing in the waves. Here's a link to the photos:. Isabel's First Day of Kindergarten. Isabel started kindergarten today!

I climbed the rock climbing wall (in flip flops! For dinner we went to Chima, a Brazilian steak house in Tysons. The food was yummy and we were all stuffed for the second time that day.

Scott Family Fun: craB
http://scottfamilyfun.blogspot.com/2010/11/crab.html
I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly." John 10:10. Thursday, November 4, 2010. Me: Oh no girls, we will have to get out the vacuum again. (Will spilled.). I'm thinking: Did she just say craB? Did she mean to say craP? Where has she heard that? Should I tell her that's a bad word, even though she didn't really say a bad word? But she meant to or did she? Should I just ignore it, should I. Sydney: It's OK mom. I said craB, not craP. Me in shock: Oh. Posted by Scott Family Fun.

Thursday, April 26, 2012. At an early age, Miss K showed a pronounced interest in art. Our house has always been a place where paint and glue are welcomed and encouraged! She has used her gift in many ways and her time to shine came this past weekend. One of her pieces was chosen to be part of the Mount Vernon Art Show that featured artists from five local schools! The Raftery Quad: February 2008
http://therafteryquad.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 25, 2008. For a couple of weeks, we've been meeting daddy for an end of week swim at the base pool. Kennedy gets so excited! She gets her swimsuit on and she dashes to the car so we can meet daddy. Landon just goes with the flow; whatever we do, he's up for it! Kennedy has a blast jumping into daddy's arms and Landon loves floating on his back. These moments in life are the best - watching our two children in such free form is priceless!
