Tuesday, 26 June 2012. We departed Inis Bofin in poor visibility. Before 11 am and enjoyed another great sail out of Clew Bay Tacking a long tack out to sea and then tacking in for Slyne Head. It took another couple of tacks in a steady Force 5 before we actually rounded the head and bore off a little for Inis Mór. We made very good time making 7 to 8 knots and a few of the crew enjoyed the thrill ride of sitting in the pulpit as the bow plunged into the oncomming atlantic swell. View my complete profile.

Monday, 25 June 2012. After a leisurely cooked breakfast, Mass and showers we departed Fenit bound northwards a kinder sea and favourable winds gave us a good sail across the Shannon estury, past Loop Head and along the Clare coast. A favourable wind and much calmer seas provided more pleasant sailing than yesterday and we decided to revert to our original plan and head for Oileán Chléire, Gráinne (Maol) Uí Mháille's stronghold. Saturday, 23 June 2012. The view from the marina in Fenit which lies in the Kindom of Kerry. The crew are in two watches taking their turn sailing and navigating. And cooking of course. Leaving the harbour in an Daingean we were treated to a short display by Funghi before making our way into Dingle bay and heading north through the Blasket sound. The fresh wind came onto our quarter and the motion became more regular to the great relief of those members of the crew who had been feeding the fish.
