The Chronicles of a First Year Counselor: September 2014
http://afirstyearcounselor.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Friday, September 5, 2014. Our district has a HUGE push this year for teaching core values. We will focus on 2 values each 9 weeks, beginning with Respect and Responsibility (R&R). The teachers are actually responsible for teaching 3 core value lessons every 3 weeks. I LOVE this! Since I cannot be in the rooms every week for guidance, I think it is great that students will get regular reminders and lessons on these important character traits. Daily quotes and challenges on the morning announcements.

I plan on posting some ...

http://jyjoynercounselor.blogspot.com/2013/01/paperless-tracking-of-students-seen.html
Blog of school counselor Andrea J. Burston. Sharing my counseling tips and tricks in a fun, realistic and humorous way (my way of life). JYJ Counselor Shout Out. Monday, January 21, 2013. Paperless) tracking of students seen. Each year I have full intentions of keeping great notes on the students I've seen each day. I even made a special form to include in my counselor notebook.
