My little "Farm" in the suburbs
January 26, 2012 - Suburban Farm Girl
http://www.suburbanfarmgirl.net/january-26-2012.html
January 26, 2012. Oh boy, Oh boy what adventures we have had! I asked as I was turning on the hose and then I looked, and ran to grab my camera. This is 'D' with her first ever baby. We didn't even know she was pregnant. So this was a huge surprise! Two days later on Wednesday night we had another addition. This is Daisy and her mom is 'J'. I'm told by Lady S that it's rare for a first freshening to be twins. Next year I'll be more prepared. Me with Lil' Scheister and Sharon with Daisy. Daisy really is S...

March 5, 2012. There was no February! I know, I know, I know - there was no February update. That's because February wasn't a good month! January, March, April. yes, sounds good to me. This is my Facebook profile picture. Kuma holding my great niece Hope. Happy birthday my dear friend. I miss you. I propose that I tell you a story. Will you feed me? Will you nurture me? There were 7 of them in all. It was very sweet. What a great present! Then down on one knee he goes and asks me to marry him. I cried.

This page has no date - and not much content written upon your screen - but there is a file attached. One I think worthwhile to share. One I don't want to lose myself. I have a confession to make - I'm addicted to Pinterist! I've come up with a solution. I created a document in Word and copied all my favorite pins on it. There's a table of contents so you can jump quickly to the things you liked best - in the footer is a link back to the TOC.

I wanted to thank you guys for the comments. It keeps me inspired to update! I'll be back in California tomorrow night and will post pictures of the new duckies - Buster is the male and Buddy is the female. Do you notice a trend here? George is the female rabbit. Hmmm Maybe it's because I had 2 sons that I like boy names?

Farm where you are. Thursday, March 24, 2011. A gardener's journey of faith. My word for this year was serious,. But now I think it should have been journey. I was shaky in my own faith and so it made me wonder; How can a woman who has lived that long in life believe that once you die that's it? You go in the ground and compost is your only legacy, your only reward? For some reason, that revelation shook my entire faith existence and for a few years, I was actually ambivalent. My friend Jeanne told me, "...

My little farm in the suburbs has moved to a real farm. I'm Lisa and this site is about my adventures of having a farm. It started out in the suburbs, in our cookie-cutter house where I kept my chickens and ducks and kept the neighbors quiet by giving free eggs and produce we grew. The farm was purchased in August 2011 but life being what it is, we didn't actually move until October. In that time the farm has been growing. It is Spring - new life abounds! Just because you live in suburbia doesn’t mean you can’t have a farm. About The Suburban Farm. From Wheat to Straw. July 5, 2012. The wheat story has a sad ending. It’s all gone. Every single bit of it. I checked on it last week and found the back half decimated. Squirrels and birds, no doubt. I’d seen them nibbling on the perimeter, but I never expected they were busy destroying what I couldn’t see. This is what I saw when I walked out there. The entire back half was gone. From → birds.
