Craft The Final Frontier. A Little About Me. Cross-stitch, quilting, craft…. Starting The New Year With A Giggle Or Three. January 2, 2011. I like to start my blog with a piccie….These are some ruby Swarovski Beads I’m adding to a Christmas wall hanging. Do you ever have these kind of moments or is it just me? I was wearing a t-shirt with a line of glow in the dark writing the other night when I walked into a darkened room and wondered where the line of light was coming from. 8217; moment around Christma...

For the Love of Cross Stitch: January 2013
http://meadows08.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
For the Love of Cross Stitch. Thursday, January 24, 2013. I made this box for my mom for her birthday. It's one out of 2 whole finishes for 2012! I didn't even make my annual ornaments for my family. Not a very productive stitching year for me, but 2013 is going to be different :). I stitched this piece in particular because my stepdad calls my mom, myself and my daughter Queen Bee, Big Bee and Baby Bee respectively. It might have something to do with our forceful personalities. Ha ha! Elf in the Box.

For the Love of Cross Stitch: Prairie Schooler Giraffe
http://meadows08.blogspot.com/2012/01/prairie-schooler-giraffe.html
For the Love of Cross Stitch. Friday, January 20, 2012. I finished up my final Christmas ornament this morning. How bad is that? I'm almost an entire month behind. Book No. 71 by Prairie Schooler, Two by Two. Fabric: Mystery 36 ct. linen. I added some holly and beaded berries to make it look more Christmasy:. My daughter didn't mind about the lateness at least and she thought it was so cute. She loves giraffes so this was perfect for her. Take care everyone and have a nice weekend! Your ornaments arent l...

For the Love of Cross Stitch: January 2011
http://meadows08.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
For the Love of Cross Stitch. Monday, January 31, 2011. Like I said in my previous post, I got more stitching done in Vail than I thought I would. This is what I worked on:. Red House in Winter by LHN. Travelling Stitcher by LHN. I started it as a SAL but didn't get very far :) The fabric was really bugging me at the time. It was so stiff and scratchy. As you can see I've gotten over that. Anyone know of a tutorial for sewing the stitching onto the pouch? Progress as of February 11, 2010. We got home fro...

For the Love of Cross Stitch: February 2012
http://meadows08.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
For the Love of Cross Stitch. Sunday, February 5, 2012. Last weekend I went to visit my mom and took Gingerbread Cottage by CCN as my travel project. I managed to finish most of the cottage while visiting. I'm stitching this with 2 threads on 36 count fabric. So I managed to anwer my own question. Regarding CaHRH and I'll be ripping out what I've stitched so far and starting again. Tossing the fabric isn't an option as it's a customs colour/cut by Lakeside Linens and set me back a pretty penny.

For the Love of Cross Stitch: Christmas Ornament for my Stepdad
http://meadows08.blogspot.com/2011/12/christmas-ornament-for-my-stepdad.html
For the Love of Cross Stitch. Friday, December 23, 2011. Christmas Ornament for my Stepdad. Here is what I stitched for my stepdad for Christmas. It's Merry Moose by Mill Hill. I finished it as a hanging ornament instead of a magnet like the kit intended. I just love the beaded garland around his neck. This is a design I will actually stitch again.which I don't do :). December 23, 2011 at 7:42 PM. What a cute ornament! My Dad loves moose too! December 25, 2011 at 11:49 AM. What a sweet ornament! Happines...

Keep Calm, The Kettle's On!: March 2013

Keep Calm, The Kettle's On! Monday, March 4, 2013. Rainy Days And Mondays. I'm sorry I've not replied to anyone's comments from my last post. I had malware on my computer, not enough time to fix it, then ran out of data credit on my phone! Phone's ok for another month. The computer's getting there! You were right about not having enough contrast on the New York Beauty block. I scanned both fabrics in monochrome and they are really similar in tone. Good spotting, 99! You guessed it.a dropped stitch! I had ...
