It is not love, it is habit. I am not hang up on you. It is just taking a while to adjust. There is nothing wrong with seeing you everywhere. I am just reprogramming. I am hanging onto the memory,. The memory of your lips meeting mine. And the kiss’ mighty butterfly effect. Giving cupid perfect aim,. For hundred’s of victims wild wide. Tattooed in my mind’s eye is your gaze,. That gaze you reserved only for me. Where your eyes got smaller, heavy with emotion. Your expression revealing mysterious untold thoughts. SIDE DISH’S PRAYER. I pray for a good new year. I pray that he spent wisely over the holidays, so that January is not about her brats’ fees. I pray that this Valentines I get a whole night, these expensive gifts are no longer cutting it. I pray that March doesn’t come with chivalry that gets him in that housework mode, I need every public holiday I can get. It’s in the aroma of the cinnamon right before you take the first sip. And the vanilla essence beckoning you to that perfect slice. Wanting to devour it yet leave it intact, not touching the cream or cherry. Leaving the raisins to just peek a bit from the velvety surface. Then hot flavor meets tongue, a mixture of milk, cinnamon and the strong taste of Kijura tea. The tongue comes alive and the cake it must have! Savouring every fork full as the helpings get bigger.
