The Night Before Christmas. Friday, August 7, 2015. This week's drink was the pina colada. This was a first for me. We used the recipe from here. They were very good, inspite of the rum. The Night Before Christmas. Thursday, July 30, 2015. This week's cocktail was French 75. According to wikipedia, the drink got its name because it was said to have such a kick that it felt like being shelled with the French 75mm field gun. Anyway, I got the recipe from here. Gin, 1 oz. Fresh squeezed lemon juice, .5 oz. Simple syrup, .5 oz. Champagne/sparkling wine, 3 oz. Very nice drink, a little potent, but good. We all enjoyed it. I'll leave you with this:. Links to this post.
