Would-be Supermom's Procrastination Central: January 2011

http://supermom-procrastinationcentral.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html

Would-be Supermom's Procrastination Central. Monday, January 24, 2011. Supermom" returns. with a whole lotta help. I teach in the late afternoon. As I was leaving, Baby Ben was curled up asleep next to his daddy, but when I came into the room to get my backpack he woke up, of course. Oops. Note to self: leave backpack by the door! But it was fine- Bob started reading him Blue Hat, Green Hat. Did I mention that it was the Coldest First Day Ever? After mealtime, they went up to the man cave, where Ben play...

Would-be Supermom's Procrastination Central. Saturday, October 9, 2010. Story Club: A Young Writers' Group. Inspired by a homeschooling ( cyber. And by my desire to support George in his creative writing this year, I decided to start a young writers' group. We had our first meeting Thursday, and so far so good! Most of the time I just acted as scribe and tried to stay out of their way, as they really were off and running. With it at that point. They seemed to be able to let go and embrace the creativ...

Would-be Supermom's Procrastination Central: December 2010

http://supermom-procrastinationcentral.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html

Would-be Supermom's Procrastination Central. Wednesday, December 22, 2010. To Grade, or Not to Grade? I'm late turning in my first quarterly report for George (shhhh! Don't tell the authorities- they seem not to have noticed yet). But it's not because I don't have it done. I actually finished it early, over a month ago. It's because I'm wrestling with the question of grades. But he spends an abundance of time and energy on these things), so based on that, it would be an easy call to give him an A. Ok...

Would-be Supermom's Procrastination Central: Baby Ben Update

http://supermom-procrastinationcentral.blogspot.com/2011/03/baby-ben-update.html

Would-be Supermom's Procrastination Central. Sunday, March 6, 2011. Life has been way too crazy to find time for blogging. and also too crazy to keep up with the baby book I had so diligently been filling out every month for Ben. But I have a few spare minutes (not really, but.), so I thought I'd jot down what Baby Ben has been up to the last few days. He continues, of course, to be a total joy! Pretty much the happiest, smiley-est little guy you ever did see. So multi-purpose, and so positive. Laurie, o...

First Friday: Growing Up Artsy… |

http://sparkingtolearn.com/2009/12/05/firstfriday

December 5, 2009. December 5, 2009. Maybe a thousand words. First Friday: Growing Up Artsy…. Apologies in advance for the rough photography taken via Em’s p-n-s with one hand, while the other hand juggled bags and babes). Taking five children under age 10 on a historic trolley tour and a gallery walk on a busy Friday night means that you’re either brave or crazy…or just homeschoolers who love to try something different on a regular basis. Tonight’s adventure with the folks over at Mind Games. After the t...

Birth Plans | Moors Mama's Blog

https://moorsmama.wordpress.com/2010/03/10/birth-plans

Moors Mama's Blog. March 10, 2010 in Uncategorized. I’ve been reading some pieces that are against birth plans lately, and while I do understand their points – that birth cannot be ‘planned’ among others – I must come out in favor of putting together a ‘birth plan’ – though perhaps a better name for this would be ‘care guide’. And in the throes of labour, who wants to be having to repeat their preferences for care? So what do you need in your birth plan / care guide? Jennie Williams on Birth Plans. You a...

Mothering solo | Moors Mama's Blog

https://moorsmama.wordpress.com/2009/11/21/mothering-solo

Moors Mama's Blog. November 21, 2009 in Uncategorized. Lately I’ve been hearing from a number of friends who are feeling the burdens of motherhood. Some are pregnant with second or subsequent children, some have given birth in the past year. All are enduring the interrupted sleep, constant demands and seemingly endless hours of motherhood. When we don’t have the possibility of hiring a nanny or a housekeeper? Oh I wish, I wish sometimes! Talk to friends and keep your sense of humour. Seven Times The Sun.

The end of a dream | Moors Mama's Blog

https://moorsmama.wordpress.com/2010/05/06/the-end-of-a-dream

Moors Mama's Blog. The end of a dream. May 6, 2010 in Uncategorized. And yet I find myself nearly 2 years later abandoning this dream, preparing to move once again and place my children in state education…not because of the school, which has lived up to all my expectations and been a source of pure joy and satisfaction…but because of myself, my realisation that I need to accept what is, to determine what is truly essential and recreate my circumstances accordingly. The sweetness lies in lessons learned, ...

Sending Smiles Across The Miles

Sending Smiles Across The Miles. Monday, April 16, 2012. Thanks for the post from Stan Atkins My cousin and I talk by phone once a week for about an hour each time. We only live two hours from one another but do not get together as often as we should. So we do make time to chat and catch up about our lives, our children and grandchildren. December 21, 2010. We were spoiled by tanna and masons presence for after-thanksgiving celebrations, which the kids thoroughly enjoyed! Em constantly chatters about tanna and zu refers to mason as high five mason (hes made his mark with the high five). so it comes to no surprise that they anxiously await their visits to our casa. And pics i couldnt resist of my babies. So pensive.and so cold! She is my doll baby, really! And for obvious reasons, i had to show off spidermans feminine and artistic side.

Supermom Kick-Off 2010

Single parents in Europe. Welcome to the official webpage of the EU funded project Supermom Kick-Off 2010. Support for single parents. Studies show that almost 20% of European children live in single-parent households and that their poverty risk is almost twice as high as the average poverty risk for all children. This fact only would be sufficient to concentrate on the topic and find support measures that really help lone mothers and fathers to be better (re-)integrated into the labour market. During th...

Wednesday, February 9, 2011. Supermom: What's it gonna take. Supermom: What's it gonna take. I am writing this with a heavy heart. I spent the day in Birmingham filming profiles of children waiting to be adopted, like every time we.". What's it gonna take. Today as I met great kids, there were several common themes. A lot were older, a lot liked Math! So I come back from spending the day with these kids, still in 'clouded counsel', but with a refocused purpose. I have no doubt I am right where God ne...
