How to enable Remote Access. Remote access is enabled by default for your GoFlex Home. Simply navigate to www.seagateshare.com. To login remotely or use the Seagate Dashboard software. If you have disabled remote access from the preferences, login to the web interface from a local computer and go to the Preferences section. Navigate to the "Remote Access" option and enable remote access.

Factory Reset Procedure And Firmware Files. These instructions will reflash your GoFlex Home to factory, requiring you to re-configure the device. Download the 2.7.2. Firmware ZIP file containing the GoFlex Home firmware. Format a USB key with FAT32. Extract the Zipped files to the USB key at the root level. No other files should exist on the USB key. Gracefully remove the USB key from the PC and insert into the GoFlex Home's USB connector. Remove the hard disk from the GoFlex Home.

FTP and Secure FTP. LAN and WAN FTP access can be enabled from your GoFlex Home's Preferences - Network Services page. By default, LAN FTP access is enabled. If your router doesn't support UPnP, or UPnP is disabled, forwarding of the following ports are necessary for FTP. Port 20(tcp), 21(tcp), 50000(tcp) and 50001(tcp). We really like FileZilla. MySync conveniently keeps the files you want at your fingertips, on all your computers and GoFlex Home. 1 Running GoFlex Home firmware version 2.6 or above. Resetting the administrator password. If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it. Resetting the password will also restore the LAN Connection. Preferences to factory default. Insert the Setup CD into your PC or Mac. The Main. Page of GoFlex Home Setup appears. The Reset your GoFlex Home. Page appears, and the setup program searches for your GoFlex Home device. Once the IP address of your GoFlex Home device appears, click Reset. And then reboot the GoFlex Home. The application starts and Page 1.
