Sunday, August 19, 2012. CRESTED GECKOS AS PETS and TIPS FOR HANDLING. Crested geckos make amazing pets! They are so fun to watch jump around and hunt for food! They are very docile and friendly. You might even catch a glimpse of them hanging from their tail! They are really awesome creatures! Their skin is as soft as silk! When you hold a crested gecko you MUST be cautious! They jump from long distances! You must be alert and ready for a lunging crested! Other than them jumping, they are awesome to hold!

Monday, August 13, 2012. I'm not new to blogging, I actually have another blog ( www.caityspetpalooza.blogspot.com. This blog is going to be all about geckos! First, I would love to introduce my geckos to you! First is my Leopard gecko, Lily! She is 7 months old and about 7.5" long! Next is my Crested gecko, Rafikki! I will share a few pictures of it and share a few tips to all of you who have wondered what to do when moving your crested to a bigger cage! Well here is Rafikki's new home! My mom and I worked really hard on this cage! It was A LOT of fun though! So now I am going to list all the things I used making this cage:. Hydroballs(on very bottom of cage). Topsoil(freeze for 72 hrs. before use). Various rocks and driftwood.
