Now let me tell you I havn’t run a mile since I was in high school. That was only done under protest to get a good grade. So I put on my running clothes and we are off. Stories of love and laughter, lightly tossed. Summer is a spool of thread. At least, that’s how I see it. With every day spun by, I see the spool that is my summer mercilessly spinning out the days. The days already grow shorter. I’ve seen the school library, freshly carpeted, waiting to be cleared of the clutter a renovation leaves behind. I know, too, that my hopes for this season are unmet. Too much chaos, too many wasted moments,moo many tears. Still, what have I gained? Yeah It was a good summer.

Anyone who knows me knows I appreciate a good #wordbine (also known as a portmanteau if you’re feeling bougie). So when my mom made this tilapia with basil stir-fry dish and wanted to named it “fish with basil”, I couldn’t help but take the wordbine stick to her creation. Introducing… the Basilapia! Disclaimer: this dish was originally named the Basilapia, but mom has advised that tilapia is not the ideal fish, and that I should change it to sole. So, introducing… the Ba-sole!
