A day in the lives. Varied musings and rustic ramblings. Saturday, September 24, 2011. Bell's going to ring Hear the alarms. They tell us that the economy's in a state, that jobs are at risk and that we should all do all we can to help avoid a double-dip recession. That's all well and good, but what can you do when tradesmen can't be bothered to accept a large job? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Bells going to ring Hear the alarms.

A day in the lives: Dem bones, dem bones

A day in the lives. Varied musings and rustic ramblings. Friday, December 21, 2012. Dem bones, dem bones. As the 'cardboard-and-water' diet) that Ned had used successfully before, but then I remembered watching a TV Horizon programme about the 5:2 diet. And it seems to work, certainly in the weight-loss claims. In 6 weeks Ned has lost 9lb and looks a lot trimmer, while I've reached my target weight and my clothes all seem to fit again. I don't know what my blood's doing but I'm optimistic!

A day in the lives. Varied musings and rustic ramblings. Monday, July 25, 2011. Son, you are a bachelor boy. We've been running through the options:. 2 Daisy goes away - I know from experience how careful you need to be with in-season bitches; not many people do. Kennelling would be out of the question for her - the trauma to the other dogs there of such a tantalising aroma adding to the usual kennel stress would be very unkind. The chemical option - an implant called Suprelorin - is supposed to be good;...

A day in the lives. Varied musings and rustic ramblings. Friday, September 28, 2012. Life is a minestrone. Badge, still twitching slightly. I knew I couldn't possibly drive all through the village like that - people would stare and point, so I had to carefully remove the corpse before I could get home and, waste not want not, prepare her for cooking. So a very strange, stressful, tiring, emotional 24 hours. Birth, funeral and death, and memories, memories, memories. Saturday, September 15, 2012.

A day in the lives. Varied musings and rustic ramblings. Sunday, August 14, 2011. You've got to pick a pocket or two. Poor old Piggy; what a thing to happen to a gentleman of mature years! From the Dark Crystal) but luckily seems to be making a good recovery. He looks very strange from behind, because he used to be quite a well-endowed fellow, and now is rather . flappy. But that should improve with time. I hope. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Youve got to pick a pocket or two.

A day in the lives. Varied musings and rustic ramblings. Monday, October 22, 2012. While the river-bank weeps to the old willow tree*. After a leisurely breakfast on our third day the itinerary was to go caching in mainland Europe for the first time. It was a bit drizzly so it took some time for the GPS to pick up satellites:. Doesn't the picture make the bridge look high? When we were paintinged out we went for lunch at the Luxembourg, where the waiter offered to take a photo of us together "as long as ...

A day in the lives. Varied musings and rustic ramblings. Sunday, June 19, 2011. She wouldn't have a Willy or a Sam. No pictures - I had enough to cope with, doing a journey of more than five hundred yards with a car-sick puppy to worry about a camera - but today was a satisfactorily complete day, although nothing went entirely to plan, which in itself made it just right. Say meet at Tanner's Lane, I've triple-checked) she'd bee sick a few more times and was feeling very sorry for herself. So was I. Frien...

A day in the lives: April 2011
http://jananned.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
A day in the lives. Varied musings and rustic ramblings. Monday, April 25, 2011. I really wanna know. Well, I'm not really sure how it happened - one casual email has had a rather surprising result. I expected to go through months and months of fruitless enquiries but I seem to have paid a deposit (refundable if the BAER result is unsatisfactory) on a four week old baby:. All being well she comes to us at the end of May. But she needs a name . Sunday, April 10, 2011. You see, I realised the Evil that is ...
