A Scrap A Day: March 2011

A Scrap A Day. The meanderings and creative ramblings and such of a Busy Mama. Monday, March 28, 2011. I keep hearing people say they wish they could "go gluten free" so they could lose weight easily. Makes me giggle at the thought. Eating gluten free isn't a "diet", it's a lifestyle. You can lose weight with almost any lifestyle change, it's simply the fact of sticking with it. Article that prompted this late evening blog :) : http:/ health.yahoo.net/rodale/MH/is-gluten-making-us-fat. Links to this post.

A Scrap A Day: December 2010
http://scrapaday.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
A Scrap A Day. The meanderings and creative ramblings and such of a Busy Mama. Friday, December 31, 2010. The best laid plans. Wellll.Italian Crockpot Soup was put on hold and instead we dined on saltine crackers, OJ, a little bit of brown rice, and gatorade, sigh. Woke up to my youngest emptying his tummy on our bed and spent the rest of the day giving him baths, cuddlying with him, scrubbing floors and doing laundry. It's almost impossible to believe that today is the last day of 2010! Where did it go?

A Scrap A Day. The meanderings and creative ramblings and such of a Busy Mama. Wednesday, March 7, 2012. I love to dabble in all kinds of earth friendly, money saving, homey bits. One that I use quite frequently is homemade laundry soap. There are seemingly hundreds of recipes out there on the world wide web and I have tried a couple different variations. I have made both liquid and dry powder versions. Due to the space we. 2 cups Soap-finely grated. 1 cup Washing Soda. Please remember that Borax is caus...

A Scrap A Day: February 2012
http://scrapaday.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
A Scrap A Day. The meanderings and creative ramblings and such of a Busy Mama. Wednesday, February 29, 2012. So, with this baby has come an entire boatload of nesting and homemaking craziness from this mama! So long, children yearning for mushed chicken innards and such pressed into chicken nugget shapes from the drive through. They are thrilled with chicken nuggets from our oven! 3 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts. 1/2 t sea salt. 1/2 t garlic powder. In a medium sized bowl, stir together flour,...

A Scrap A Day: Independence: Take yourself out of their equation.
http://scrapaday.blogspot.com/2013/07/independence-take-yourself-out-of-their.html
A Scrap A Day. The meanderings and creative ramblings and such of a Busy Mama. Tuesday, July 2, 2013. Independence: Take yourself out of their equation. Just this morning I was letting my mind muddle over the crazy stats. And scary truths of modern medicine and it finally hit me, We don't have to be a part of their equation. It struck me as ironic as I thought about our goals to not be a statistic of modern medicine, we are coming up on our great country's celebration of its own Independence this week.

sharon o young: Back to a wet and windy autumn
http://sharonoyoung.blogspot.com/2014/10/back-to-wet-and-windy-autumn.html
A general blog for everyday happenings. Tuesday, 21 October 2014. Back to a wet and windy autumn. We're back from our travels in France, we had far too nicer time and the weather has been very unkind since we returned. Still the upside is we've been catching up with our children and grandchildren, whom I'm very pleased to say missed us a lot while we were on our 5 week treck. 2 little people who definitely missed us were our youngest grandchildren, Sam and Pippa. We had a fabulous weekend, it was so nice...

http://sharonoyoung.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
A general blog for everyday happenings. Monday, 10 February 2014. No green stuff please were cake eaters. We're taking a break from looking after our little grandson while his mummy and daddy settle his sister into family life. I think he's getting used to the idea. Him and grandad think she's champion. We decided we would take a bracing walk along the barrage in Cardiff bay and reward ourselves with a lovely cake and hot chocolate when we got to the gallery. And then went on to the walk. I had a mini ta...

Annie's Reflections: Another day
http://annielaing.blogspot.com/2013/09/another-day.html
Friday, September 20, 2013. The house next door has been sold and the new owners have been tidying up. They tossed this ball over the fence thinking they were returning it home. Two Jack Russell's did not complain! Alot of noise and teeth! Just wondering how long it is going to last? I have been trying to us up some of the stash! The below cards are made from patterned paper. By Kate Knight - free with a Cardmaking magazine. Those MFT dies are out again and I have found the edge punches too.
