Thirty-three years of marriage; ups, downs and all arounds. Maybe we have something to share through our life's experiences. Twins and a Finn. Ryan's Great Bike Adventures. Thursday, July 8, 2010. A week or so ago, Jillian shared a story with me about Charlie's naptimes . . . and messy, stinky, removed diapers (by Charlie herself! It involved walls, sheets, blankets, the door and door handle. Scared me to DEATH! Well, not really, but . . . She stood up straight, clapped her hands and said, "Yay!

Monday, January 12, 2015. Novemeber was a nice time for Travis and I where we were able to spend a good amount of time with one another. It started off with the pheasant hunt. Travis and I flew to Denver where Gene swooped in to pick us up. Best friend Gene drove all the way from Sandy Eggo (Murrieta to be more precise) to Nebraska, can you say rockstar? After we limited out we shot clay pigeons, that always one of my favorite hunting activities to do.That night we went to Sydney Nebraska where the h...

Sunday, November 16, 2014. End of Busy Season #1. September and October have been, no surprise, very busy around here. As of October 30th Travis is off his busy season client. Our first busy season is behind us, holy cow they weren't joking. Travis was working 80-85 hours a week sometimes, and he worked 21 days in a row, no weekends off at all! That Saturday we went over to Maggie's house to watch the duck game after we ran some errands. The Ducks came away with a nice win-we were happy to finally be...

Tuesday, February 18, 2014. This post has been a year in the making. I really love to take pictures of Travis when he is asleep, or has just woken up, mostly because I find it really funny and he pretends like he is amused. This doesn't really need much more of an introduction. so enjoy the collection! Thursday, February 6, 2014. I guess this post could be considered my New Year's Resolutions, but don't worry I'm pretty committed to what's going on here. We are going to move to Portland this year. Th...

Sunday, September 7, 2014. Goodbye Summer. Hello Fall. I feel like this summer, more than any other before, has flown by so fast that I can hardly breathe. I keep saying to myself that things will calm down next week, or next month, but it never happens! I just feel like I am constantly busy, which I would rather be than bored so I guess that is good. And the most exciting news of all is he passed his fourth CPA exam! That is four for four! Things are always a good time when they are here. Then of course...

Tuesday, February 17, 2015. Last week Travis finished up in Medford on his client based there. He would fly out on Sunday night, fly home Friday night, work from the office Saturday, and then fly back out again Sunday. Let me tell you, it was rough. Travis was a traveling pro. We had a good system down, but it was never enough time with each other. I have gained a new respect for those who have their significant other's away for large amounts of time, that is for sure! Lexidog and I walking with my mom.

Thursday, June 25, 2015. Tokyo was a very difficult city to get acclimated to. It is so expansive with an intense train system that it was hard to understand the distances between attractions that we wanted to see. Luckily with google maps we were able to do much better than we would have on our own, but it took a bit of studying to get things sorted out. One of my favorite things we saw wandering around Tokyo,. Godzilla on top of a movie theater. Tokyo preparing for the Olympics. One of Travis's favorit...

Sunday, May 24, 2015. Not wanting to waste a good half day we asked Toru (the man that runs the house) wereto go. Since most temple/ tourist sites shut down around 5 it didn't give us a lot of time to go and see any of those. He recommended going to Nishiki Market, Ponto-cho, and out to a yakiniku restaurant. I couldn't get enough of these octopus snacks. no I didn't try one, they just looked cool. This is pickled uri in some sort of sake marinade/ sauce. We did eventually hit our meat quota though, not ...
