Adventures of Salacia: November 2014
http://svsalacia.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Adventures of an Alberg 30 named Salacia and her crew. Boat - Alberg 30. Saturday, November 29, 2014. We are still alive and kicking! Alberg 30 refit coming soon! This stunning photo was taken with the camera on my phone. It's a beautiful sunset across the Elizabeth River, which is a pretty typical view during my shift on the ferry. This will allow me to refinish decks, hatches and just about any other work that will require her to stay dry. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Twitter Updates 2.2: FeedWitter.

http://svsalacia.blogspot.com/2015/07/alberg-30-refit-wet-hull.html
Adventures of an Alberg 30 named Salacia and her crew. Boat - Alberg 30. Thursday, July 16, 2015. Alberg 30 refit: Wet Hull. Now that all the paint bottom paint has been removed, (well about 90%, I still have a small section left on the starboard side) I can begin to formulate a plan to repair the blisters. But that repair is going to have to wait a bit. Because after getting down to the gelcoat and letting the boat sit for a few days these dark spots started to appear on the hull. Adventures of Salacia: Alberg 30 Refit: Bottom paint removal continued and hull blisters
http://svsalacia.blogspot.com/2015/06/alberg-30-refit-bottom-paint-removal.html
Adventures of an Alberg 30 named Salacia and her crew. Boat - Alberg 30. Thursday, June 11, 2015. Alberg 30 Refit: Bottom paint removal continued and hull blisters. I had been using a 6" sander to remove the paint. That thing made all kinds of dust. It removed the paint but was a bear to use. I decided to try scraping a majority of the paint. This turned out to be a great decision. In about 4 hours time I had scraped almost the entire side. Working away at little bit at a time, I put in 2 hours last night.

Adventures of an Alberg 30 named Salacia and her crew. Boat - Alberg 30. Monday, June 22, 2015. Alberg 30 Refit: Bottom paint removal, starboard side and a Couple of Young Cruisers. It's been really hot here the last few weeks. Humidity has accompanied the heat, and heat indexes have been well over 100 for several days now. Regardless, today I just could no longer stand not getting anything done on the boat. I suited up when I got home and started the starboard side. They were headed to New England from ...

Adventures of an Alberg 30 named Salacia and her crew. Boat - Alberg 30. Saturday, August 29, 2015. Alberg 30 refit: Formulating a plan and gathering supplies. After speaking with these guys, I have come up with a plan. I am hoping to get started on it in the coming weeks. I have to keep looking at the great pictures of our time sailing Sal to remind me why I am doing this! Approximately two years ago her decks looked 1000% better than they do today. The gathering of supplies:. While I am nervous about c...

http://svsalacia.blogspot.com/2015/08/alberg-30-refit-hull-to-deck-joint.html
Adventures of an Alberg 30 named Salacia and her crew. Boat - Alberg 30. Friday, August 14, 2015. Alberg 30 Refit: Hull to Deck Joint failure. This week has been very productive. This is because the outside temps have fallen into the mid 80's with little humidity, making for a very enjoyable evening and an easier work day. This has led to some boat work. With the bottom of her hull drying out I was able to begin removing items from Sal's top deck. You can see all the stanchions and the bow pulpit removed.

Adventures of an Alberg 30 named Salacia and her crew. Boat - Alberg 30. Thursday, May 21, 2015. Alberg 30 Refit: Bottom paint removal. That small white area is where I started. Small pin holes and the funny looking pattern immediately had me concerned. Sanded a small area, the odd pattern and pin holes seemed to be wide spread. Can of worms opened! This is the area I sanded. Almost 2 hours of nasty work. This is a close-up of what I found. Tuesday, May 19, 2015. What do you think? Alberg 30s on YouTube.

Gångjärn monterat i uppfällt läge.
