Long Pond – Royal Newfoundland Yacht Club | Exit

https://svexit.wordpress.com/2014/09/08/long-pond-royal-newfoundland-yacht-clut-5

Bell Island →. Long Pond – Royal Newfoundland Yacht Club. September 8, 2014. A quiet morning at Royal Newfoundland Yacht Club. Skipper Ray Rhinelander and the crew of BELLA J at race week awards ceremony. Jerry Veitch, RNYC’s boat yard wizard. Footnote: I was delighted to be accepted as a non-resident RNYC member on the day of departure. I’ll lay odds it’s the only yacht club anywhere with a burgee that bears the likeness of a carnivorous plant; to wit, the purple pitcher plant (. Bell Island →. You are ...

Trepassey to St. John’s →. July 25, 2014. Blue sky and sunshine as we waved. And thanks to Doug and Dale Bruce, editors of the authoritative Cruising Guide to Newfoundland, for that time-saving suggestion. Left to right: Lorne, Jamie, Pete, and Genevieve. Newer posts →. July 20, 2014. Burgeo to Grey River and Francois. July 19, 2014. In a brief morning conversation on the Burgeo dock prior to EXIT’s departure, Pete Behr casually mentioned that he and twin brother Tom were celebrating their birthday this very day. Don’t leave ’til I get back! A short distance up the fjord from the entrance is the tiny outport of Grey River where a coastal ferry comes and goes on a regular basis. I hope that ferry captain is getting hazardous duty pay. Grand Bruit to Burgeo.

Icebergs and Bergy Bits →. Trepassey to St. John’s. July 27, 2014. Did I mention the leaping whale? It seemed smallish for a whale, smaller than the one in the TV life insurance commercial, but when a whale leaps totally out of the water 100 yards from your boat, you take what you get. Icebergs and Bergy Bits →. 4 thoughts on “ Trepassey to St. John’s. July 28, 2014 at 10:56. I’ve been eagerly awaiting each new installment. I am damned sorry I missed the hootenanny! Rise ‘er up! Cruising Guides – St. Bride’s | Exit

https://svexit.wordpress.com/2014/09/19/cruising-guides-st-brides

Cruising Guides – St. Bride’s. September 19, 2014. Once inside, there’s a long wharf to starboard for off-loading fish which likely will be empty since local boats moor further back in the small harbour. There’s a significant surge at this wharf when it’s blowing southwest outside. At night, flashing red and green lights mark the ends of the breakwater. I would not attempt this entrance after dark without prior knowledge. 2 thoughts on “ Cruising Guides – St. Bride’s. September 20, 2014 at 15:19. John &#...

Existence

Wednesday, July 17, 2013. You and I, speak words alike. Some tender, some true. You and I, of one heart. Share some tears and laughter too. You and I, relive our past. Some bitter, some blue. You and I, dream of a future. Roses some, with thorns too. You and I, make promises. Of honesty and kisses true. But you and I, are 'we' at all? Somewhere between darkness and dusk,. Down the road, around the bend,. We, You and I, are just a whisper lost. Friday, January 1, 2010. Just for tonight, hold my hand,.
