Friday, March 6, 2015. That's a wrap Part 3 – by Vicki. The Panama Canal transit. To experience this engineering marvel first hand – taking us from one great ocean to another. Highlights I particularly remember:. Entering Gatum Lake, looking back down into the Caribbean across the stepped locks. Having a great big ship behind us as we went back down on the other side of Gatum Lake. The thrill of going out into the Pacific Ocean – the door opens out you go! We inadvertently hijacked a Bouginese wedding.

There’s one outside the bank, several stand next to the craft centre, they turn up gnome like in people’s front gardens. What do they mean? I put the question to Henri, our host at the Taiohae coffee shop where we hang out for internet access. 8220;Don’t you steal Gary! Henri’s suspicion faded, but only a little. Eventually he decided to open up and give me a little more. 8220;Some just decoration!

Wednesday, February 4, 2015. Becoming CLODs – by Gary. Currently moored in Hobart's beautiful Prince of Wales Bay – here is our neighbour. We are well embarked on a period transition – shedding our sea gypsy guise and turning back in to 'dirt dwellers'. High school beckons. Zeke and Nina are now fully enrolled, fully uniformed, fully equipped with new backpacks, new sharp pencils the lot – all set to go. Wednesday, July 10, 2013. Evi plays bridge very well, but is way too honest to pull off a decent poker face. An accomplished computer science professer, Evi wrote a college textbook on programming. I met this incredible woman four years ago, and it seems like I’ve known Evi forever. 8220;Can you do a pull up? 8221; my mom jokingly asked the group. I certainly didn’t know any seventy year old who would even try. I never should have doubted Evi’s determination. Thursday, October 6, 2011. Flying past my head.
