Remembering Old Miami: August 2010
http://oldmiami.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
I was born and raised in Miami, Florida and have seen a lot of changes. Some for the good, most for the bad. I thought it would be cool to have a site where people could post their memories of places, people, etc. of different things they remember used to be in Miami. Sunday, August 22, 2010. I have another blog, my "main" blog if you will.often many of the things I post there could also be posted here, so feel free to check it out: A Florida Journal. Wednesday, August 4, 2010. From the Miami Herald.

Dungarees Ablaze: October 2008
http://dungareesablaze.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 27, 2008. Words to a Song. Kiss a little Baby. Give the world a Smile. If your going to take an Inch. Give'm back a Mile. Cause if you lie like a rug. And don't give a dam. You're never going to be as happy as a Clam. Two point if you can guess the song and writer. Friday, October 24, 2008. My "sister/friend", Chris. Has passed the cup to me. Now along with this "award" there are just a few simple questions to answer, and here they are:. 1 Do you have the same friends since childhood?

http://sandcastlemomma.blogspot.com/2015/07/a-beautiful-day-at-beach-and-then.html
Northwest Florida Web Cams. Monday, July 13, 2015. A Beautiful Day at the Beach - And Then. Sunday, the Island King, the kids and I piled in our boat, my BIL, his family and my MIL piled in his boat and off we went to spend the day at the beach. My BIL prefers a spot on the point at the beach on the west side of the Destin Bridge. It's a good spot and we spend a lot of time there. We sat in the shade, snacked and spent a lot of time sitting in the water. Until we got a good look at what he was seeing.

Sandcastle Momma: Stabbed in the Eye with a Fork
http://sandcastlemomma.blogspot.com/2012/11/stabbed-in-eye-with-fork_15.html
Northwest Florida Web Cams. Thursday, November 15, 2012. Stabbed in the Eye with a Fork. You know the expression “I’d rather be stabbed in the eye with a fork than…”? Well, when my MIL graduated from college we had a celebration dinner for her. The Oldest Island Boy was not quite 2 and I was holding him in my lap, facing the table as everyone was going around the table congratulating my MIL. Words can’t describe the searing pain a fork to the eye causes. Driver: “Where do you need to go? 8220;No, I hurt ...

Northwest Florida Web Cams. Monday, June 29, 2015. Even though I got extremely lost the last time I went geocaching. In the North end of the County, I did manage to find one of the caches on my list. The cache name is A Revolting Man #2 and according to the cache page this cache is in a cemetery where “One of only three Revolutionary War soldiers are buried in Northwest Florida. Two are located in Okaloosa County and one in Santa Rosa County.”. According to his headstone he was 118 years old when he died.

Northwest Florida Web Cams. Monday, July 27, 2015. Green Beetles Rolling Bear Poop Around. I was out geocaching the other afternoon and one of the caches I was after was just off a main road between Niceville and Mossy Head. I pulled off the highway onto a gravel road leading into the woods and stopped the truck. The GPS said the cache was close so I turned the truck off was getting my pen when I looked out the window and saw a ball of something rolling across the gravel. When I got home I learned that t...

Sandcastle Momma: Geocaching
http://sandcastlemomma.blogspot.com/p/geocaching.html
Northwest Florida Web Cams. In January of 2007 and have enjoyed every minute of it. Caching has taken us places and shown us things we never knew existed – a lot of which are right here in our own backyard. It's also given us a fun reason to exercise. While some people may find hiking a mile through the woods to find an ammo can filled with Happy Meal toys strange, it satisfies the treasure hunter/pirate in me. Give it a try. 8211; you'll be amazed at what's hidden in your own neighborhood. Redoing It - ...
