September 14, 2012. We trimmed the little hairs around this guy’s ears the other day. Now he holds them both up. Apparently the fur on the left ear was pretty heavy! Who wouldn’t just love coming home to this face at the end of the day? Except… I came home to this today. It’s really the only thing he has ever truly chewed on and destroyed. GLO, Bachelorette and Art. February 7, 2013. This is a photo post of what we have been up to over the last few weeks! 1) We are hosting an international student in our home (3 weeks total) through a program Veritas is participating in called GLO. It has been a great experience so far! This was right when they were arriving in Iowa City after a full day of travel. I have had fun hosting a few lunches for them! Having a day off during the week has been great! 2) Heidi’s bachelorette party! That is about it!

May 4, 2012. In In the kitchen. Margherita pizza is my favorite. I use to hate tomatoes and it seems like I have finally come around to enjoying them in certain dishes. Inspiration for this recipe trial came from a menu item I saw they were serving at one of the “fancy” cafeterias at UIHC ($7 for a flat bread mini pizza! Definitely something we will make again. Package flatout flat bread (or any other pizza dough or crust you have lying around). Hunk of real mozzarella cheese. Roma or Plum tomatoes.

Before and after [so far]. January 21, 2013. Here is a bit of photo documentation of what we have done to the house as compared to the day we walked through it! In reality we have “done” very little to it. By saying “done” I really mean what is looks like now that all of our furniture is in place and my little knick-knacks are up. I guess there was that whole putting a new roof on, but other than that, no big renovation projects here! Living room after [the next 4 photos]. Main floor bathroom before.
