American made purchases and Knitting patterns. A Knitter’s Haven, Downeast. July 9, 2013. So, dearfriends, I have been chatting with the fabulous Jackie over at Swan’s Island Yarns ( www.swansislandblankets.com. And she invited me up for a tour of their dyehouse. In typical Alicia fashion, I excitedly accepted prior to, oh, mapquesting it or planning it much. The drive was about 2 hours and 45 minutes up the coast! With both girls in tow)…but so worth it! Indigo, cochineal, madder…). Look for this lovely...

Cee's Creations: Fall Favourite pt 1
http://collyknits.blogspot.com/2014/09/fall-favourite-pt-1.html
Fall Favourite pt 1. It fits me exactly how I want it to. I wasn't sure it would fit since I mistakenly over blocked it. It is now more of a slouchy toque than it was prior to blocking. This is going to be my fall/winter staple. Looking forward to discovering even more faves. Friday, September 19, 2014. 29 September, 2014 18:06. This is a cutie. Love the style of it and how the pattern falls in the back. :). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Quote of the Day. Knit the hell out. Knitting to Stay Sane.

Cee's Creations: Bye-bye Week hello Weekend
http://collyknits.blogspot.com/2014/09/bye-bye-week-hello-weekend.html
Bye-bye Week hello Weekend. The first project is for a swap I am taking part in. Will post pictures once my partner receives her package. I don't think she reads my blog but you never knowwwwwwww. I made a Pom-Pom from wool-ease in eggplant. I love the way it brings out the burgundy colour in the yarn. I see myself making a few more hats with Pom-poms :). I definitely don't regret buying clover Pom-Pom makers. It's much better than the one I got a few years ago. Friday, September 26, 2014.

Cee's Creations: July 2014
http://collyknits.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
It has been an emotional couple of days in my neck of the woods. I recently learnt that a family member of mine is on life support. The situation has affected us greatly. Bringing up memories of other loved ones who passed away. How does one cope in these kinds of situations? Wednesday, July 30, 2014. Knitting gone wrong or did it? Last week I was fretting and complaining and moaning about my most two recent FOs being hideous. Am I being a bit too critical? MaybeI still don't care too much for this hat.

Cee's Creations: Juggling Act
http://collyknits.blogspot.com/2014/10/juggling-act.html
The above picture is the hat done in twisted stitches. I still love it. It holds a special place in my knitting heart as it was the first baby beanie I ever made. The second hat was done in the exact style and colour as well as size. I got the opportunity to see it on the baby and boy oh boy he looked quite dapper in it if I do say so myself :). I'm loving the finished touches that my customized stamp adds to it. Thursday, October 16, 2014. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Quote of the Day.
