Mommy's Apron Strings: Working on Wee Care
http://mommysapronstrings.blogspot.com/2015/08/working-on-wee-care.html
I hope to inspire and entertain you with a lot of sewing and a little of everything else! Monday, August 10, 2015. Working on Wee Care. My Smocking Guild is going to do a Wee Care workshop this fall. We decided to teach a flat front raglan sleeve gown with shadow work. Today I drafted a pattern and made a sample. This is supposed to fit about a 3lb baby. It is 12" long and the neck is 7". Enough white to make this tiny gown. The lace is vintage ecru I had on hand. I don't remember where it came from.

Tuesday, October 29, 2013. Halloween 2013: Strawberry Shortcake. It kills me how all of these things that were popular when I was a little girl have made a strong comeback! My girls love Strawberry Shortcake and they had no doubt who they wanted to be for Halloween this year! But boy.Strawberry Shortcake has changed a little bit since I was a kid! The ruffly pinafore is gone and now she's all modern and trendy. And she and all of her friends own little shops? Oh those iconic Strawberry Shortcake tights!

I hope to inspire and entertain you with a lot of sewing and a little of everything else! Thursday, August 28, 2014. We spent a few days at the beach before my kids headed back to school today. I don't quite have any sewing to share, but I got some fabulous pictures I thought you might enjoy! Rosie and my Dad went sailing on a catamaran. We saw some beautiful flowers. And some amazing sunsets! We spent time at the beach. And took pictures of pretty flowers. And we saw flowers. Posted by Elisabeth Rose.

Mommy's Apron Strings: June 2014
http://mommysapronstrings.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
I hope to inspire and entertain you with a lot of sewing and a little of everything else! Saturday, June 28, 2014. Laura did a smock-a-long at her Ellie Inspired Patterns Group. This week. I love sew-a-longs because, like taking a class, they make you finish a project in a limited amount of time. The camaraderie of working with a group of ladies is also encouraging. So, when Laura showed the pretty, free pattern we would be making, I had to sign up! I have always loved scalloped hems, so I thought I'd do...

I hope to inspire and entertain you with a lot of sewing and a little of everything else! Friday, May 30, 2014. A Little Quilt for Baby. This happy little quilt is one I put together for my Quilt Guild. It is my Guild's 30th anniversary this year and we are trying to donate 30 Baby Quilts to a special charity in our area. The quilts will be wrapped around a gently used baby layette and distributed to babies in need in our state. I wondered what size quilt she made that had that many leftover blocks!

I hope to inspire and entertain you with a lot of sewing and a little of everything else! Friday, May 29, 2015. Yes, I am the clever one today. Sharing bits about my pet chickens! Here is our little bit of chicken heaven! My Dad built the amazing coop for us last Fall. On the other end it has a "people" door which makes feeding and cleaning easy. Do you see the nesting area on the left? It has a lid that opens to collect eggs. Right now the chicks are in the small cage so they are safe. Links to this post.

Double Stitching: July 2013
http://doublestitching.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 31, 2013. It's still July, although barely! This summer is racing by as summer always does. We're packing our days with fun and enjoying the weather that has taken a turn for the better in the midwest. We've been blessed with some beautiful days in the 70s and it's been fabulous! This was made with Jess' original tutorial. But she has made it into a fully graded pattern. Yet another vintage sheet project, of course! Hopefully everyone is having a great summer! I have the semi-annual resal...
