November 23, 2006. 8212; swissjames @ 12:22 pm. I went to that Turkey. You know, the one you see on the TV. It’s a great place- especially if you enjoy people trying to sell you carpets. The weather was a bit ropey in Istanbul for the first few days so I hot-fotted (10 hour bus ride) it across to Cappadoccia where I saw all manner of weird houses carved into volcanic rock formations. Not only that but I made a clay vase and saw a camel. Who needs New York? Originally uploaded by Swiss James.

Its been great to see them but I had some bad news yesterday- they went to Poland on holiday and took one of my weird old film cameras.
