Breaking into the Bipolar Brain. Tara Kristin (BA- Psych Hons). The Most Common Lie About Depression. March 24, 2016. March 24, 2016. If you wanted it bad enough, you could try harder. More than anything I don’t want to feel this enveloping darkness. So don’t fucking tell me I just don’t want not to be depressed bad enough. Because I WANT to be better, do better, accomplish great things. I want, want, want it so bad it’s a perpetual grueling ache in my muscles, bones, veins, arteries. Unfortunatelyit’s n...

Stained thoughts | Breaking into the Bipolar Brain
https://tarakpisano.wordpress.com/2016/09/28/stained-thoughts
Breaking into the Bipolar Brain. Tara Kristin (BA- Psych Hons). September 28, 2016. Like varnish, you can still see what’s beneath a stain. For people suffering with bipolar disorder, our moods and thoughts are ‘stained’, so to speak, by escalation and depression. This ‘stain’ makes the thought or feeling appear different than to what it actually is. The part that sucks? Let me paint a picture for you. Argument with your best friend. Neutral (or ‘normal’) reaction:. Escalated reaction (and mostly my own).

Particularly; levels of daily functioning, impairment and disruption. For those still waiting to get the right cocktail of meds- hang in there. I promise it gets better. Not only better, but better in a way that you probably didn’t think was possible. One thought on “ What it means to be well. Liked by 1 person.

Breaking into the Bipolar Brain. Tara Kristin (BA- Psych Hons). January 25, 2016. Crazy people aren’t pretty. They don’t wear make-up or straighten their hair. Oh, no. They look dishevelled, with holes in their shirts and coffee and cigarette stains on their teeth. Of sanity. The little I have to offer. Cut the politically correct crap. The mundanely monotonic effort of ‘getting through’ and arriving at ‘going through the motions’. 2 thoughts on “ Insanity and Appearance. January 25, 2016 at 12:15 pm.
