Singapore Expat: Acne woes
http://andrew-ong.blogspot.com/2008/06/acne-woes.html
Sunday, June 1, 2008. I've been sick. Thanks to my flatmates passing their filthy germs around the house the past month, I inevitably caught a whiff of it and had a sore throat / flu hybrid bug that put me down for a week. Poor Miss Sam was staying over the weekend before so she had to endure the better half of it observing me transform into a sick puppy. Sick week was a productive week though, I took 3 days off work and indulged myself watching all the episodes of Underbelly. To break up the scar tissue.

Singapore Expat: The Witching Hour
http://andrew-ong.blogspot.com/2008/07/witching-hour.html
Friday, July 18, 2008. Reads the little blue screen as I squinted with one eye and brought my phone a little close to my face in the cold darkness of my room. Fuck I can't sleep. Its been 5 nights in a row now that I've been awoken by my overactive mind racing with too many thoughts. Like clockwork, I'll awaken somewhere around the 3am mark. The witching hour. As mentioned in a previous post. I know exactly what's keeping me awake tonight. Nothing will change. Or will it? The yearning, longing and simmer...

Singapore Expat: November 2007
http://andrew-ong.blogspot.com/2007_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 25, 2007. Quick update over a sunny sunday. So its a nice cool and sunny Sunday afternoon here in Melbourne. Apologies to the dear readers of my blog if you have recently wondered about the 2 week lapse since the last entry. Quite a few things have happened since then and this coupled with the fact that my Internet was down last week thanks to Tel$tra. Screwing up something as simple as a name change on a phone bill from Lisa to mine. Thursday, November 8, 2007. What you won't see on TV.

Singapore Expat: And the washing powder goes in here!
http://andrew-ong.blogspot.com/2008/06/and-washing-powder-goes-in-here.html
Saturday, June 14, 2008. And the washing powder goes in here! I think one of my house mates has been adding washing machine powder the incorrect way. Came home slightly drunk last night and put a finished load into the dryer, only to have a whiff of stale sweaty socks waft through the laundry area. I almost dry retched and thought, what the hell? I just took a clean load out! Upon closer inspection, there was a big chunk of laundry powder in the fabric softener dispenser. Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

Singapore Expat: May 2008
http://andrew-ong.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 6, 2008. What a beautiful city with its sprawling concrete skyline interspersed by the deep blue waters of the harbour. I had a wonderful time there over the Anzac day long weekend. Admittedly, one of the main highlights of my Sydney visit was to see the lovely Miss Sam. The first time we met, there were instant sparks between us and Miss Sam had visited Melbourne twice more since then. Could this be the beginnning of something serious? The Sydney aquarium was a really nice attraction. Melbo...

Singapore Expat: October 2007
http://andrew-ong.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 28, 2007. I just came back from the movies with Steph and Simon and we saw a film that is better than good. In fact, it just about restored my faith in major release cinema. It is written for adults, it is mature, understated, intelligent and tautly suspenseful. A tale of morality which far outshines everything else in this genre. Clayton cleans up client's messes, handling anything from hit-and-runs, to damaging stories in the press. It is the Oriental Spoon. On 254 LaTrobe St, Melbourne.

Singapore Expat: March 2008
http://andrew-ong.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 30, 2008. Ready, Steady. Go-Live! The project I've been working so hard on the past year. From sacrificing weekends at work and 12hour days during the week has finally come to an exhausting anti-climax this Monday afternoon, during the last day of the Easter holiday long weekend. This would no doubt make Origin the 2nd biggest utilities company. In Australia's contestable electricity market, since the Queensland electricity market got deregulated. Monday, March 17, 2008. The last few days!

Singapore Expat: July 2008

Friday, July 18, 2008. For the past 2 weeks while walking through the city streets, my path is confronted by swarms of foreign speaking youth, proudly waving their country’s flags, singing, dancing and cheering through the streets. 8217;t it a little too early just yet for the world cup? Even hold international soccer events let alone have frenzied young fans going berserk through the streets? 8217;t until I tuned on the news that it clicked, these kids were here for World Youth Day 2008. As I went came ...
