Building Her House: March 2014
http://buildingherhouse.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 24, 2014. Be very careful, the, how you live- not as unwise but as wise making the most of every opportunity because the days are evil. If you wrote a list detailing how you spend the majority of your day, what activities/responsibilities would it include? Now if you wrote a list of your priorities, what /who would that list list include? Lastly, if you took both lists, do they coincide? Do you spend your time on your priorities? If not, the Bible offers us encouragement. His will is for us...

Saturday, April 26, 2014. Book Review: Gospel Assurance and Warnings. In Gospel Assurance and Warnings. Paul Washer 'shines the light of gospel hope as he cautions against the dangers of making an empty profession of faith and carefully explains from Scripture the basis for establishing and maintaining a sound assurance of faith.'. His exposition of Scripture will give you plenty to contemplate. One of my favorite parts is his clarification of eternal life on page 148:. I highly recommend this book for e...

Thursday, January 30, 2014. Book Review: Ingredients for Success. In Ingredients for Success: 10 Best Practices for Business ad Life. Author Joseph James Slawek 'shares 10 best practices for business leaders, which he draws from the teachings of Jesus.'. I will preface my review by stating that I am not a business leader. In fact, I am a stay-at-home mom. Since the book's title stated that the 10 best practices were for business and life, I thought it worthwhile to read. I was not disappointed. This prin...

Building Her House: June 2014
http://buildingherhouse.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 30, 2014. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. We are all different and that's a good thing. It really is. And yet, how often have I wondered why my husband did this that way or why my daughter took this method instead of that one? Unfortunately, too many. Throughout the weeks of the Be Series, I have been challenged to love more and harder especially those within my own household. It may sound selfish but it's not. Let me explain. Or to my children?

Building Her House: September 2013
http://buildingherhouse.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 29, 2013. In Apostate: The Men who Destroyed the Christian West. Kevin Swanson presents "the story of the decline and fall of Western civilization. It is the story of uncommonly powerful men, unfathomably evil men.apostates.". Is it by their own admission, by the testimony of others, or by their fruit? The author would do well to either leave these comments out or state the source of these suppositions. Overall, this book is a wake up call for the Church, the true Church. Avoidance,...

One of their objectives being "to equip the homeschooling public with the ammunition necessary to effectively defend our educational choices.using these resources to graciously challenge our brothers and sisters who are still deceived by the public school system.". Building Her House: Book Review: The Hiding Place
http://buildingherhouse.blogspot.com/2015/06/book-review-hiding-place.html
Saturday, June 20, 2015. Book Review: The Hiding Place. The Young Reader’s Edition of The Hiding Place written by Corrie Ten Boom with Elizabeth and John Sherrill is an excellent read for both children and adults. Having read The Hiding Place for myself and watched many movies with my family, I wanted my 9 year-old daughter to read this book aloud to us. I was not sure whether this book would be the same things we already knew just repackaged, but it was not. It was a blessing to have read this book.
