A House for Shanks

A House for Shanks. So the exhibition opening went very well. There were a lot of people there and some fairly interesting conversations about the state of architecture in Maine. Probably 2/3 of the people were architects but that still left a fair number of non-architects who were eager to see all the projects. So a virtual round of applause to Carol Wilson. A House for Shanks: 11.09

http://www.sylvanway.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html

A House for Shanks. Anyone still out there? So we have been slow to update. But stuff has been happening. The hood is finally in. All that really remains now are the countertops. We may have blown our window for this year and may need to wait for the spring. I plan on wrapping up the interior trim and ramp and deck rails this year. With a little luck we may get the wood stove in this year as well. We'll try and update more often, if anyone out there still reads this. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

A House for Shanks. Paul (and Eliza) Part II. We then went down to Unity to make a quick stop at the. All in all, too short a time but hopefully the next time Paul and Eliza come up at Thanksgiving the siding will be complete. Fingers crossed. I sure as hell don't want to be doing this in December. Photos courtesy of Paul and Eliza. End of Day 1: Paul inspecting the cat door. Eliza intent on the screw at hand. Day 2: More boards in the morning before heading off to the Fair. A House for Shanks. The penultimate (hopefully) batch of siding went up this weekend. One more shipment should do it. Everything is getting a little harder to reach. But I'm almost there. Still a few hundred screws to put in though. When are you getting here Paul? We also put in a much needed culvert two weekends ago. While there is still some landscaping to accompany it, it is keeping the water from running over the top of our driveway. Chloe surveying the scene. Fat cat perch in use. M&C Build a House.

Longhouse: Influenza A/Brisbane H3N2...

http://reinholdtsfort.blogspot.com/2008/03/influenza-abrisbane-h3n2.html

Monday, March 3, 2008. Has disrupted my life for a good 2 1/2 weeks.but I see traffic has really picked up around here, thank you for the nods on the design blogs mocoloco, materialicious, and others thank you-thank you! Anyhow, the company we've hired to install the system guesses the current levels in the basement, where the radon seeps into the house, are in the 20s, not an ideal place to send the kids on a winter's afternoon to ride their bikes I suppose. M and C Build a House. We’re not slow. We’re deliberate. What We Are Building. January 2, 2010 in General. And just like that, it’s 2010. It’s safe to say that 2009 wasn’t our best blogging year. It’s even safer to say that 2009 wasn’t our best housebuilding year. We tried. We really did. It’s just… there were a lot of distractions. There was this distraction:. Hi I’m two. Then there was this:. Hi I’m the weather forecast from most of the summer. And, of course, there was this distraction:. So 2009 was a...

M and C Build a House. We’re not slow. We’re deliberate. What We Are Building. And Behind Door Number One, We Have…Door Number Two! September 1, 2009 in Exterior. A while back, you may remember, we bought ourselves a new front door. You don’t remember that? Yes, well, it was some time ago. Last week Michael had a few days in-between jobs and decided to devote himself to some long-delayed house projects. And high on the list was the door. First, he ripped out the old door. A House for Shanks. Might I ask&...
