Review: Tokai Sushi: tampatastes
http://tampatastes.livejournal.com/4663.html
Perry F. Bruns (. Perry F. Bruns. Icky Yucky Sushi," Garrison Keillor. Plus, it allows you to inspect the goods without being nosy. You'll also notice that the prep area is kept spotless at all times. At this point, I should probably break and explain the seasonings and garnishes served on or near your sushi. Depending on how you use them, they can be a distraction, a comfort, another source of anxiety, or a practical joke. Here's the deal:. Seaweed Salad: This is served as a garnish alongside the crab s...

Tsunami Tsucks: tampatastes
http://tampatastes.livejournal.com/5191.html
One of the rules of Tampa Tastes is we don't review chain restaurants. If you've been to one TGIFridays, you know what the food is like in pretty much any TGIFridays. However, since I am moderator I can bend the rules. and this is less of a review than a public service announcement. Tsunami has the worse sushi of any restaurant my husband and I have been to in Tampa. My husband gave this a C-, I gave it a D. If you want sushi in Brandon, may I recommend:. 10115 Adamo Drive Brandon Crossings.

The Proud Lion, 124 W Fletcher Avenue (813-915-1101): tampatastes

The Proud Lion, 124 W Fletcher Avenue (813-915-1101). 124 W FLETCHER AVE. TAMPA, FL 33612. I drove by the Proud Lion for years without venturing inside, and I could just kick myself for all the meals I've missed. The Proud Lion is modeled after an English pub, and it succeeds in atmosphere. The servers are quite friendly and have great memories - on one occasion, a month or two after we'd last visited the restaurant, we were greeted by a server who said "Sweet tea and a water with lemon, right?

Brunch at Ciccio and Tony's: tampatastes
http://tampatastes.livejournal.com/5678.html
Brunch at Ciccio and Tony's. And I stopped by Ciccio and Tony's in Tampa Palms around 11am today, thinking they'd be open for lunch. They weren't - but we were invited to come in for a 'soft opening' test run of their new brunch menu. Wouldn't even let me try her potatoes, so they were clearly too good to share. Next time, we'll be trying some of the whole wheat breakfast wraps, many of which looked tasty. I'm pleased to say that this appears to be exactly what one would expect of a brunch menu at Ci...

Fuego: tampatastes
http://tampatastes.livejournal.com/7020.html
Let me first say that Fuego is one of those restaurants that you will either love or hate. If what you want is charming decor and a plate of searing hot food made to order brought straight to your table. please go someplace else. Fuego is a Churrascaria style restaurant, that turns into a Night club late evenings. As a result, the tables are meant to be picked up and moved and the decor is minimal. I don't dance, so I can't critique that side of things. My best friend adores the Parmasagne chicken. M...

Non-philosophy grad seeks inroads to philosophy MA: learnphilosophy
http://learnphilosophy.livejournal.com/57007.html
Non-philosophy grad seeks inroads to philosophy MA. My wife is an MA student in philosophy. I'm a librarian. I've got a BA in linguistics and MA in library science (so, technically, an MLS). Because I've been engaging in philosophy research to help my wife, I've begun thinking about becoming an academic librarian and working within philosophy - either as a library liaison to the philosophy department or as a subject-matter expert in the library. Where do you think I should start? Post a new comment.
