The Family Called Syvertsen. Tuesday, July 16, 2013. The Corn is High. Someone is over the moon now that fresh corn is in season. (I grilled it in its husk tonight and it was tasty.). Elliot is so happy to be back into the routine of stopping at the "peach store" every few days (they also sell corn, other veggies, local honey, etc). I love that he values good and healthy food. The Family Called Syvertsen. Wednesday, July 18, 2012. I am a very inexperienced American mom. From shushing my kids at the store to packing clothes for them to change into after swimming at camp to not knowing how a drop-off line works. Very very funny to experience this sort of thing. There is a lot of choice at the grocery store but still not many breads without corn syrup in them. Why America, why? I have so loved knowing the sales and having an envelope of coupons with me at the store.

Lørdag 18. april 2015. Dette er min farmor! Hun er nå blitt 97 år gammel, og hun er et av de flotteste menneskene jeg vet om! Hele oppveksten har farmor og farfars hus vært mitt andre hjem. Farmor lærte meg å spise rabarbra med sukker, hun lærte meg å svømme på Lambertseter bad. Min farmor har en egenskap som jeg alltid har satt stor pris på, hun er glad i mennesker! Vi barn, barnebarn og oldebarn som har fått oppleve dette har fått en gave i livet. Jeg har gjort det til min viktigste leveregel også!
