Installing a 6″ Fabtech Suspension Lift on a Toyota Tacoma. Remove the Skid Plates. They are held onto the chassis with about eight bolts. I’ve pointed out three of them in the picture. It’s your job to find the rest. The rear skid plate will come off a little easier because it’s held in place only with bolts. Was the piece that connected the steering wheel shaft to the rack and pinion assembly via the rubber connector. Rotate it until it does. Locate the zip-loc bag labeled ‘CLINCH BOLT’.
