Tails from the Edge

Friday, April 25, 2014. Spring. Here in the Pacific Northwest it can be stormy and cold one hour and bright and warm the next. We had a very a wet March so now our April is very green but still very wet. Furthermore I didn't realize I would be cleaning up after not only my own stomach flu but that of my entire family. More tulips, less well. I think you know what. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Differences between my children. Where have I been? There was an error in this gadget.

Tails from the Edge: June 2013

http://tailsfromtheedge.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html

Sunday, June 9, 2013. In full disclosure, life is pretty good. We are all healthy, friends and family are healthy. We have jobs, we can pay our bills, we have food on our shelves. It is summer. That said, it been a long bleak period here. I have written about it before and the mystery still continues. Everybody is crabby and not doing all that stellar. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Tails from the Edge: September 2013

http://tailsfromtheedge.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html

Thursday, September 26, 2013. Sister Love or not so much. Take a front page in the newspaper! These girls can actually like each other and act like helpful sisters. Unfortunately though, that afternoon they were back to their normal selves. I never realized until now how children bickering with each other can slowly drive you to insanity. "She is looking at me! Ahhh, Ohh, Uhhh" "Taylor just pushed me (or insert, pinch, hit, smacked)! And on and on it goes. Wednesday, September 18, 2013. Its like asking s...

Tails from the Edge: March 2013

http://tailsfromtheedge.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html

Thursday, March 28, 2013. I was driving to work the other morning rushed and late but thinking. I was thinking of the saying, "What would you do if you weren't afraid of failing." And the answer came to me instantly. I knew exactly what I would want to do. It scared me how clear it was, and yet what a big jump and change it would mean for my family. Fear does keep us alive, and failure though not life threatening can have different endings. And then, "Would you actually do it? Monday, March 25, 2013.

Tails from the Edge: January 2013

http://tailsfromtheedge.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html

Thursday, January 31, 2013. Good Bye January, oh and I hate this month! I dare you to tell me something wonderful about January. Except that it is over. I know, I know that if we get philosophical one could talk about how there needs to be a season of rest, recovery or a winter so that there can be a spring. I guess. But would it really be that bad to have summer everyday? Would I really miss this time of year, hmm. I don't think so. Why you may ask? Sunday, January 20, 2013. Tuesday, January 8, 2013.

Zach & I: May 2012

http://zacharychauncey.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html

The days are flying by so fast, I want a way to journal it for my son (& myself). Thursday, May 31, 2012. A year in pictures. I totally stole this idea, I just love it. Wednesday, May 30, 2012. And then there was the IEP. The Individualized Educational Plan. Ugh. We had Zach's meeting on the 18th. Zach was evaluated by the school PT, OT, ST, Adaptive PE and the nurse. Overall doing well, he doesn't qualify for special education services at this time. That's great. I also need to say that I just can't STA...

The days are flying by so fast, I want a way to journal it for my son (& myself). Saturday, August 18, 2012. There are so many "firsts" with a child in the first couple of years. After two years old, they slow down and around three they come pretty infrequently. Tonight we had a first. A long and tiring week, but such a precious week at the same time. Friday, August 3, 2012. The days are flying by so fast, I want a way to journal it for my son (& myself). Saturday, October 29, 2011. Want a piece of pizza? For three years now Zach has worn his pizza costume. The first year was while he was still in the NICU. His primary nurse Marjan got it for him while he was very sick recovering from his second surgery. I put him in it when we made up to the overflow step-down nursery. Zach got to come home on October 21, 2009, 142 days after being born. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Zach & I: Zach is Three!!

http://zacharychauncey.blogspot.com/2012/06/zach-is-three.html

The days are flying by so fast, I want a way to journal it for my son (& myself). Sunday, June 10, 2012. We had a low key birthday for Zach this year. He took cupcakes to school on Thursday and wore his "Happy Birthday to Me! T-shirt. His teachers made him a big sign for his birthday with his favorite topic on it.cars. I used it at home to help decorate for him. We went to dinner and he picked "shrimp" to eat, so eat shrimp we did. He loved it. His Audi TT had to come to dinner with us.

The days are flying by so fast, I want a way to journal it for my son (& myself). Monday, March 19, 2012. Happy Birthday to me! It's pretty surreal turning 40. I don't FEEL 40 and I don't LOOK 40, so it just doesn't seem real. First of all, I am very happy to be turning 40 (it's better than not ever turning 40). I started my day by hearing "Hewp, hewp, I can't find my zipper! Mommy, the Honda Odyssey is missing! Mommy, it's a BIG Ford Tundra TRUCK! Can you tell.he likes cars? I realize that my birthday p...

The days are flying by so fast, I want a way to journal it for my son (& myself). Wednesday, July 11, 2012. He had his last Parent/ Tot swim lesson the first Tuesday (Erin usually took him, but I went in with him). He. was. a. mess! Zach woke up the FOLLOWING Sunday at 2 AM crying about the ball incident. Boy this kid perseverates on stuff (sounds like someone I know.). Hopefully we'll both be getting some consistent sleep soon. July 14, 2012 at 10:01 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

http://zacharychauncey.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html

The days are flying by so fast, I want a way to journal it for my son (& myself). Thursday, September 6, 2012. Well, I started this post awhile ago and then Zach got sick and I got distracted. Anyway. We had our 3rd NICU picnic and Zach had a blast. Last year he lasted about two hours with many meltdowns occurring. This year, we were there 3 1/2 hours and Zach would have stayed longer. Zach and one of his primary nurses. Zach with Trevor and Nathan (& their mom). Soft kitty, warm kitty.".
