China According to Brad. My life in the Xiamen. Monday, April 26, 2010. Hey every one, it has been pointed out by a few people its been a while since I did a post. I've been super busy in Hong Kong hammering out a deal, so I haven't had much time to post. (more details on Hong Kong and the Deal later). Just thought I would share a video from the top of "The Peak" in Hong Kong. Chris and I took an after noon off from the show and hiked up. Clearest day in both of the times I was there. China According to Brad. My life in the Xiamen. Tuesday, May 25, 2010. What making 168,000 Trolley Bags Looks Like. It has been a damn long time coming, but production of my first big sale is finally under way! For those interested that don't know, I am working for an export and manufacturing company that focuses primarily on producing bags. This order is for a rolling trolley bag that will end up in the US eventually. And here is what they look like what about 1/2 of them are assembled. Posted by Brad S...

China According to Brad: June 2012
http://bkswainspace.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
China According to Brad. My life in the Xiamen. Friday, June 8, 2012. Note: This post was not properly published and I didn't notice.for 2 years. It is slightly out of order. Well, after 2 solid days of trekking, I finally got to see what I had come to see. I had an early breakfast as usual and sorted out the route I would be taking for the day hike. Funny how much easier it is to wake up at 7:30 to go see Mt. Everest than it is to go sell bags. The nice Italian women, who was doing the same hike as me, ...

China According to Brad: September 2010

China According to Brad. My life in the Xiamen. Monday, September 27, 2010. Swains (and a Turner) In China. Well, after 4 months of inactivity, I decided it was time to start working on the blog again. I seem to have stumbled on a bit of a bloggers paradox if you will. That is, when life is busy and interesting enough to be worth writing about, you are too busy being busy and interesting to write about it. But now I have some free time and some truly great (and some not so great) experiences to document.

China According to Brad: October 2009
http://bkswainspace.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
China According to Brad. My life in the Xiamen. Friday, October 30, 2009. Funny the way it is. It has become apparent to me that, when choosing the next step in my life, I always seem to choose the thing that I deemed useless in the previous step. In middle school i deemed trumpet a chore, but studied music in high school. In high school I asked "When am I ever going to need geometry and calculus? Posted by Brad Swain. China According to Brad: January 2010
http://bkswainspace.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
China According to Brad. My life in the Xiamen. Wednesday, January 13, 2010. Turns out my 3 week vacation home has been extended, significantly. The trade show I came home for was a blast and more of a success than I expected. After talking to a close friend I was informed that there is ANOTHER show at the same place (Javits center in NYC) on January 30th - Feb 3rd. Lindon has decided that it is worth while to send us BACK. So the team (Chris and I) will head back down to the city to do some more damage.

China According to Brad: February 2010
http://bkswainspace.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
China According to Brad. My life in the Xiamen. Sunday, February 28, 2010. Just a quick post today. Last night I got the privileged of Lindon's (my boss) Mother making me homemade tradition dumplings! She even made them vegetarian for me! These ones have egg, chives, and bamboo shoots in them. They do NOT taste like dumplings I have ever had before, but they are fantastic! They also taught me how to make a dipping sauce out of garlic, soy sauces, and some magical ingredient I have never seen before.

China According to Brad: November 2010
http://bkswainspace.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
China According to Brad. My life in the Xiamen. Monday, November 15, 2010. Well, isn't that the way it always works. The month before I leave Xiamen I find a new western grocery store (with tons of yummy things like whole wheat bread, baking powder, and New Castle Brown Ale! A rent-able practice room full of instruments for cheap, and a new marina with rent-able sail boats! Sigh This would have changed the way I live here! In good and bad ways I think.). Can't believe its been a year! I'm not sure exactl...

China According to Brad: December 2009
http://bkswainspace.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
China According to Brad. My life in the Xiamen. Thursday, December 10, 2009. This post is a rip off/my own take of a web comic I came across the other day. It struck close to home. It's a little emo ill admit, but it documents some left out parts of my trip and sums up a lot of my current thoughts on my experiences thus far. You can see the original comic here http:/ saraholeksyk.com/loneliness.html. It will make 100x more sense if you do. I don't leave my house much, its the same every day. Alright, You...

China According to Brad: November 2009
http://bkswainspace.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
China According to Brad. My life in the Xiamen. Saturday, November 28, 2009. Tonight was one of the strangest nights I have had so far. It started with a craving for pizza, which may be the death of me. It is the only thing that when I get a bad craving for I know is in at least a 2 or 3 mile radius and I have a hard time satisfying with something else. So I went on google maps, found a place that serves pizza just a mile and a half from my house and decided I would take the walk. I also have 2 chairs in...
