I have always heard from people that, “when visiting Asia, you see temple after another temple, and you see church after another church when you visit Europe”. This is not a negative statement of course, but it shows how essential the religions play the roles in every culture. Feng Tian Temple is mainly dedicated to Matsu and other important deities, such as Cheng Huang Deity, Jade Emperor, Literal, Martial Judge, and Chi and Ba Yeh…. Etc. Along with this sma...

The World Through My Viewfinder. Scotland is on the itinerary of every self-respecting traveler. :) I was there many years ago, in the summer, and this March I was lucky enough to revisit, partly for work, partly for pleasure. While early spring is a nice time to travel as there aren't many tourists around, it can also get a bit tricky to find accommodation in some remote parts as B&Bs are simply not open! I'll start with Glencoe - a wonderful glen in the Scottish Highlands. A house in Glencoe:.

The World Through My Viewfinder. Red and yellow fields. End of May is the time when I drive around Mengeš and Rodica searching for fields of clover. Their red color is so picturesque, and there are poppies growing there as well. Highly recommended for photography! The gallery is here. Links to this post. Late afternoon around Kamnik. The World Through My Viewfinder. The magic world of Joshua Tree NP. As soon as I knew I would be in Southern California this summer, I decided to visit Joshua Tree National Park. From the first time that I saw those peculiar trees and funny shaped rocks many years ago, I knew I wanted to visit it one day. Arriving in the early afternoon, I first drove around all major sights before making the final decision where to be for the sunset. Panorama from the Keys View with Salton Sea in the background:.

The World Through My Viewfinder. Crazy sunset above the fog from Kamniški vrh. After the first serious snow of the season last week, I quickly climbed Kamniški vrh after work on Sunday. It was cloudy in the valley, but I didn't know how high the cloud cover was. It didn't look good from Bistričica, close to the starting point of the hike:. Ten minutes later and 150 meters higher it looked better:. The village of Zakal on the opposite slope:. I rushed up, but I was heading towards a thick layer of fog:.
