Friday, 24 April 2009. Scene from a few Thursdays ago - Thursdays being everyones favourite lunch day because we get cheese pastries in the canteen food. These are known to the outside world as quesadillas. This scene is comprehensive - no dialogues have been missed, nor has the gist of any dialogue been altered or omitted, although the exact words used may have differed. Part I of Scene. Are you from India? Me: ( Recalling the Mothers dont talk to strangers speech (even if theyre Indian? Me: Its interes...

The Sunburns Forever: December 2008
http://thestrayass.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Saturday, 20 December 2008. After what appeared to be a gentle reminder of the fact that I am no longer in NYC, this morning I logged onto everyone's favourite networking site and told the random part of the world that I am now in London. As much as I'd like to analyse and read into how and what made me do so a mere 4 months after shifting to London, I suspect I may have better things to do with my Saturday. (Gasp if you must at its implausibility). You may win or lose. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

The Sunburns Forever: Get out of my city...
http://thestrayass.blogspot.com/2008/11/get-out-of-my-city.html
Saturday, 29 November 2008. Get out of my city. Last year, we academically explored how distance (physical or otherwise) tends to magnify the perception and/or impact of human rights violations. Ironic. Bless you, Bombay - don't give in. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Law and Other Things. Roger Cohen - Passages. Get out of my city.

My Studio: Patchwork scarf
http://my-studio.blogspot.com/2011/05/patchwork-scarf.html
Monday, May 9, 2011. One of my clients asked if I could do a custom order for the man in her life. She wanted a a patchwork scarf using the beautiful blue hues. Well I love doing custom orders. I love the entire process of sorting through my fabrics, selecting the ones that look wonderful together and sewing them up to create a one of a kind piece. I'm posting it out today and will let you know what they think of it in a future post. This is absolutely beautiful! May 9, 2011 at 9:56 PM.

My Studio: Pillow Pincushions
http://my-studio.blogspot.com/2009/04/pillow-pincushion.html
Saturday, April 18, 2009. I love making these little pincushions. They get my mind away from routine tasks to a place where I can play a little and dream a little. This one is made out of a natural linen teamed with a delicate red and ivory cotton. It has a cute loop of Japanese import tape on the end with buttons and pins printed onto it. It's great for hanging onto places for easy access. Stuffed nicely with fiberfill. May 6, 2009 at 9:22 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Take me to the riot.

The Sunburns Forever: Music Education - Class 3
http://thestrayass.blogspot.com/2008/07/music-education-class-3.html
Thursday, 24 July 2008. Music Education - Class 3. I know I have been somewhat inconsistent with the timing of my classes. I do hope that 'madness, gallivanting and laziness' offer my students adequate chronological explanation for my failings! Listen to Orion. When you're done, I'd advise listening to Call of Ktulu. Even my most soft-hearted (and soft-eared) readers will appreciate these. Until the next class. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Law and Other Things.

The Sunburns Forever: Happy Birthday Anna
http://thestrayass.blogspot.com/2005/04/happy-birthday-anna.html
Thursday, 14 April 2005. There's something about my. Room( ok - our room, anna! Just yesterday I had to render another blow to wasp conservation in Bombay ( I used a Tehelka this time - even better than an ET - refer to past blog for context). Today, just before I started punching my keyboard, this huge bumblebee ( and I mean HUGE- must have been the size of an old TT ball - 35 mm diameter i.e.). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). My Studio: Upcycled Pin Board- Inspiration Board
http://my-studio.blogspot.com/2010/05/i-love-sifting-through-all-odd-pieces.html
Sunday, May 2, 2010. Upcycled Pin Board- Inspiration Board. I love sifting through all the pre-loved pieces at my local op shop. I've found some amazing items that have come up a treat after a coat of paint or three. They have been saved and are ready for another life. This simple frame was a gaudy green so I sanded it and painted it white. A piece of foam board from the art supply shop was covered with burlap (hessian) and securely stapled down. Here are some before and after pictures.

My Studio: Chinese Noodle Box Lantern
http://my-studio.blogspot.com/2010/12/noodle-box-lantern.html
Thursday, December 23, 2010. Chinese Noodle Box Lantern. I love those cute Paper Bag lanterns that can be used for outdoor entertaining. They add such a lovely ambience and gentle light to your surroundings. I didn't have time to purchase any so decided to use my noodle and make my very own, with a slight twist. I used Chinese noodle boxes, coloured tissue paper and a heart hole punch to create these. I think they'll look so nice hanging up on my tree branches on Christmas Day. Chinese Noodle Box Lantern.
