I am so downhearted, suddenly. Apr 28th, 2015 at 9:45 AM. I just found out Andrew Lesnie has died. He helped me see Middle-earth for real, with my own eyes. 59 is too soon. I must have watched those LotR extended edition dvd extras a thousand and one times, and he seemed like such a brilliant and funny and deeply talented person. I feel weirdly as if I knew him a little, and I'm slightly crushed. If I reach the afterlife someday and say Wow, the lighting up here is. I'll know who's responsible. :-(.
