Experiences with a Corsa recumbent high racer by a Bacchetta enthusiast. Wednesday, May 25, 2005. Dura-Ace Bar-Ends and new chain rings. Jury duty calls. So a quick before-breakfast ride was all I could squeeze in this morning. But I was eager to see how yesterday's modifications to my Bacchetta Corsa. Second, I had my local shop put on 39T (ramped) and 53T chain rings to replace the 40T (unramped) and 55T that I had been running. No opinion so far. The Bacchettaphile: 650C tires compared
http://bacchettaphile.blogspot.com/2005/03/650c-tires-compared.html
Experiences with a Corsa recumbent high racer by a Bacchetta enthusiast. Monday, March 28, 2005. It was a beautiful spring day to commute to work. I left the house at 6:15 when there was already good light. A typical morning breeze blew from the south, and I made it to my destination with no incidents to report. In the afternoon I put the dark lenses into my sunglasses. It's interesting how clouds this time of year have dark grey centers and white fluffy edges. What beauty! I like the Bontrager Race Lite.

Experiences with a Corsa recumbent high racer by a Bacchetta enthusiast. Monday, July 04, 2005. Riding with young fast guys. Here's the situation. I was riding back from Winters when a group of 7 young riders passed me. I felt good, so I jumped on the end of the line. Rode that way for 6-7 miles, as they alternated lead. Then the fun began. One guy picked up the pace, then another. I just stayed with the leaders as riders dropped off the pace. The max. mph below came from the last sprint.

The Bacchettaphile: Bacchetta Corsa review
http://bacchettaphile.blogspot.com/2005/07/bacchetta-corsa-review.html
Experiences with a Corsa recumbent high racer by a Bacchetta enthusiast. Sunday, July 31, 2005. After riding my Bacchetta Corsa. Since fall 2004, I have these observations to share:. Hills Going up them. No matter what you've read about recumbents and hills, the average rider will be slower, probably lots slower, going up hills. Why? Because you can't stand up on the pedals and use your body weight to push the bike when the road tilts upwards. What to do? Posted by Bacchettaphile @ 10:19 PM.

The other two riders were on regular bikes, and they could stand up on the challenging parts of the hills. Of course I couldn't on the Corsa. 3 hrs 11.36 min., 34.1 mph max., 17.7 mph av., 56.85 miles. Posted by Bacchettaphile @ 10:09 PM.

Experiences with a Corsa recumbent high racer by a Bacchetta enthusiast. Saturday, April 02, 2005. Corsa's aerodynamics kick in. There are two reasons for riding a recumbent: comfort and aerodynamics. Today I felt I approached a speed where I could finally use the Corsa's aerodynamics advantage. It was a strong ride for me, and I enjoyed the feeling of cutting through the atmosphere on my yellow Corsa. 38:03 min., 22.9 mph max., 17.7 mph av., 11.22 miles. Posted by Bacchettaphile @ 4:31 PM.
