Some Photos from the ETS Archives. Here are some photos I have taken over the last few years. An early workshop in 1997 with David and Biljana and many of the the local salsa dancers who were learning tango. Still, there are some face of those who are still around. Early 1998 some of the local daners were asked to dance a a masked valentines ball in Cafe Graffiti. A challenge, considering we did not really know what we were doing! Tango Dance Shoes and Clothes. Wear comfortable clothing, and shoes with a leather or similar sole. Rubber soled trainers and sandals will be hard work to dance in. Women will start to dance in high heels as they gain more practice, and may choose to start wearing at the beginners class. Long skirts can also get tangled and make it difficult to see your feet when you are trying to learn some of the steps. All year round, the Edinburgh Tango Society offers the beautiful space of the Counting House for an unsupervised practica. A space to practice, exchange ideas or to have an informal dance.
