Thursday, July 5, 2012. Today we celebrate Independence Day in the US. Thank you to all of the men and women who have served our country to help us enjoy the freedoms we have! Is an amazing organization that trains women to make sanitary supplies for themselves and others. The women going to the training will learn how to make kits for women in the village and can teach the other women to make them as well. This would be life changing for these women! Their mother is receiving treatment for her HIV!

Wednesday, August 1, 2012. I can't believe it has been three years since we got on a plane in Uganda and started home. It was an awful trip! But it was worth every second! There have been hard days, but the awesome, amazing, happy, joyful, wonderful days have left them in the dust. And have gone from these cute little munchkins. It took her a minute to figure it out and then her face just lit up. On the way to the house, we prayed that God would show us just the right kitten for us. And if none of them were right, we would be okay with waiting. Ekira sleeps on Dorie's pillow every night. Wherever Dorie is, that's where Ekira wants to be!
