Wine Pairing Recipes, Food and Travel Musings: Tempting Tempranillo--A Blind Tasting
http://winefromtouringandtasting.blogspot.com/2012/04/tempting-tempranillo-blind-tasting.html
Tempting Tempranillo- A Blind Tasting. Paul, Touring and Tasting president (left), and Dorothy Schuler. And winemaker at Bodegas Paso Robles. Embarrassingly, I did not guess one wine's origin correctly. Fittingly, as he selects all the wines for our wine clubs, Paul not only correctly identified each wine's origin, but also determined that the two American wines were from Paso Robles and probably from Bodegas Paso Robles- which they were. A win for Paul! Labels: American Wine Society. It wasn't enough th...

Musings from the Mustang Winemaker. Sunday, February 27, 2011. Is it Winter or Summer or How to Confuse the Vineyard. What can I say- it is either 85F in January or now below freezing with snow flurries. The vines started plumping their buds with the warmth, now they don't know whether to sleep or grow! So far lots of water this year, let's hope that continues. Want to see the bizarre weather check it out - Weather at Tres Palmeras/Coral Mustang Wines. FoodWine ListServ - New Cookbook. Tempranillo Tango: Harvest 2012!!!
http://coralmustang.blogspot.com/2012/09/harvest-2012.html
Musings from the Mustang Winemaker. Sunday, September 16, 2012. Yesterday was the first day of harvest for the Tres Palmeras Vineyard which is exclusively for Coral Mustang Wines! I love these mornings- there was a little fog, 47 F- had to put the big jacket on. Then the fog burned off and the sun came through- beautiful and couldn't have been more perfect. These grapes are now in a tank cold soaking and waiting to ferment. That will kick in in a couple of days- magic! Cheers from the Mustang Winemaker.
