INSPIRATION HAS MANY THREADS (4) – Tasmanian Beaches

http://tasmanianbeaches.net/2015/07/16/inspiration-has-many-shades-4

Small Adventures Exploring the Coast on Foot, by Bicycle, Kayak and Sail. INSPIRATION HAS MANY THREADS (4). July 16, 2015. August 14, 2015. By Tasmanian Beaches: small adventures by land and sea. Written on a finger nail. Simplicity, simplicity, simplicity! I say, let your affairs be as two or three, and not a hundred or a thousand; instead of a million count. I doubt it. It would not take long before a cliff would call a halt, or private land deny the way. And what makes a beach anyway? 4 thoughts on &l...

SOUTH ARM PENINSULA: ARM END WALK – Tasmanian Beaches

http://tasmanianbeaches.net/2015/07/20/south-arm-peninsula-arm-end-walk

Small Adventures Exploring the Coast on Foot, by Bicycle, Kayak and Sail. SOUTH ARM PENINSULA: ARM END WALK. July 20, 2015. August 11, 2015. By Tasmanian Beaches: small adventures by land and sea. Mr Gellibrand’s Temporary Tenure. Conditions: SW wind about 15-20 knots, tide going out. The walk we did is in the area that is red on the map. We crossed the equally low lying but skinnier isthmus called South Arm Neck and continued through Opossum Bay and on to what was once pastoral land but is now, south of...

South Arm – Tasmanian Beaches

http://tasmanianbeaches.net/south-arm-beaches

Small Adventures Exploring the Coast on Foot, by Bicycle, Kayak and Sail. South Arm is a beach rich peninsula at the southern end of the Derwent River estuary, attached to the rest of Tasmania by an isthmus at the eastern extreme of Ralphs Bay, a 50 sq km embayment with a 2.5 km entrance between Droughty and Gellibrand Points. Ralphs Bay is shallow and low energy and has several anchorages. A brief outline by the Friends of the Arm. Bikes, dogs, prams all ok. If you want to do this walk, do it soon!

KUNANYI – Tasmanian Beaches

Small Adventures Exploring the Coast on Foot, by Bicycle, Kayak and Sail. August 1, 2015. August 11, 2015. By Tasmanian Beaches: small adventures by land and sea. A rest at the summit, the chill, the distant view of the South West, the disorientating landscape of peninsulas and islands, most of south eastern Tasmania spread out about us, and then the exhilaration of sweeping back down its long flank on the narrow road, all the way back to the city. Mountain fires, floods, landslides, eras, climates and s...

We started with the best ingredients. For three generations, our family business has been taking the best local ingredients and creating pies and pastries enjoyed across Tasmania. Founded by a local butcher with a taste for the finer things, we’ve stayed true to our roots, using Tassie grass-fed beef and free-range chicken with no compromise on quality. For more than 70 years we’ve been using fine Tasmanian produce to create great-tasting products, baked fresh, every single day. And here's what we make.
