MILES OF SMILES: Baseball 2015
http://slopfam.blogspot.com/2015/08/baseball-2015.html
August 12, 2015. Porter played T-Ball this summer and Luke played baseball. Caden decided he wanted to play soccer, but not baseball. I pressed him several times on it (he has a good arm and some natural ability), but he would not budge. After the season started, he told me he wished he could play on a team like Luke. I told him he could have, but he had told me he was not interested. He disagreed.he was not interested in. Coach showing Porter how to position his feet. A smile for mom on. Luke wanted to ...

MILES OF SMILES: Spring Break 2015
http://slopfam.blogspot.com/2015/05/spring-break-2015.html
May 20, 2015. We had Spring Break the last week in March and went to Chicago for a couple of days. Here we are taking off from home with my favorite people. It was Ryland's first time to really take advantage of the DVD player in the van. Our first stop was the Willis Tower (formerly the Sears Tower). It is the second tallest building in North America. Approximately 25,000 people enter the building each day. Then we headed to the Shedd Aquarium, where we dropped a small fortune to get in with this crew.

MILES OF SMILES: Spring Soccer
http://slopfam.blogspot.com/2015/06/spring-soccer.html
June 17, 2015. Luke and Caden played in Spring soccer and were on the same team. Porter opted out. I asked many times if that is really what he wanted and he assured me it was. He said he didn't like all the running. Watching these boys play soccer was a lot more fun this year as they have improved quite a bit. They were not on a very good team and lost every game, but it was fun to watch them hustle, fight for the ball and score. I love this picture of Porter. It makes me laugh. DRA Authentic Health Log.

MILES OF SMILES: School Music Programs
http://slopfam.blogspot.com/2015/06/school-music-programs.html
June 22, 2015. Luke and Caden both had an end of year music program in May. Luke's program was first and was titled, "A Musical Menu". It was all about food and a lot of fun. He was hoping for a speaking part (which didn't happen), but he enjoyed it anyway. We left feeling hungry and treated ourselves to some ice cream afterwards! Here are all the second grade students. Here is a video clip of our favorite song of the night. And on this night, he sung his heart out! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

MILES OF SMILES: Farewell
http://slopfam.blogspot.com/2015/07/farewell.html
July 4, 2015. We moved into our home two years ago. A month after moving in, we had new neighbors move in right next door. Tony, Jill and their son, Vinny (now 5), have been the best neighbors one could ask for. I discovered I didn't have a picture of Jill and I so we snapped one the day before she left. Actually, I discovered this one, but it doesn't really count since we are both hidden behind a camera! Ryland sure loves his Vinny. All my kids are going to miss him. MILES OF SMILES: Wolf
http://slopfam.blogspot.com/2015/07/wolf.html
July 8, 2015. Luke was awarded his Wolf rank advancement last month at Pack Meeting for Cub Scouts. He worked hard to get everything done by June since the Cub Scout handbook (and requirements) changed in June (and he didn't want to have to start his wolf rank over, under the new requirements! He also earned 2 progress beads, 3 arrowheads (which are both going away) and 2 belt loops. Good job Luke! At Pack Meeting, the Cub Scouts also raced their Space Derbies and Luke took first place.

MILES OF SMILES: Hinchley Dairy Farm
http://slopfam.blogspot.com/2015/05/hinchley-dairy-farm.html
May 26, 2015. Porter's preschool had a field trip at the end of April to a local dairy farm. I was able to come as a chaperone and bring my little tag-a-long (Ry). Porter was ecstatic to go on his first field trip. Ryland's first bus ride. I forgot how bumpy the ride can be. Checking out the cows. Isn't that the truth. Porter was able to bottle feed a baby goat. Feed the bigger goats. And hold a baby chick. Having littles at home makes it difficult to help out in my kids' classrooms, activities, and fiel...
