VanDamFam: August 2008
http://tamvandam.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 19, 2008. Italy Trip Day 11. We did get to do a little bit of exploring through the old city, and saw many quaint and picturesque alleyways and houses. We were also surprised to find out that Orvieto has a spectacular cathedral- similar to Siena's, but even more impressive, we thought. The detail work- both the sculpture and inlaid mosaics were incredible! They just make me happy! Italy Trip Day 10. There were rows and rows of artifacts that had been found during excavation in Pompeii, in...

VanDamFam: July 2008

Wednesday, July 30, 2008. Italy Trip Day 4. We spent practically the whole day on the ferry, in the middle of the Mediterranean . We whiled away the time by playing games (Clue, Slamwich), listening to Chuck read from the Lord of the Rings, exploring the ship, and playing tag on the helipad. We finally spotted Sicily as the sun was starting to go down, and by the time they finally let us disembark (also a very unorganized process), it was quite late. Italy Trip Day 3. To top it all off, he led us through...

VanDamFam: Looking for Green in February
http://tamvandam.blogspot.com/2009/02/looking-for-green-in-february.html
Saturday, February 7, 2009. Looking for Green in February. Even though it is still a few months away, this is about the point of winter where I get anxious for spring to make its appearance. Cold and snow is fun in December- even festive! With all these thoughts in mind, I made it my mission to keep my eyes peeled for signs of spring- sunshine, blue sky, and anything green! Even moss and lichen make me feel more hopeful. As Dickon would say, "It's wick! And it gives me hope- spring IS on it's way! Februa...

VanDamFam: June 2008
http://tamvandam.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 3, 2008. Day 1—Monday, May 12. Perhaps the most noteworthy events while at the Vaira’s, though, were the meals. For dinner, we were first served some delicious pasta. The kids loved it, and I. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). San Jose, CA, United States. View my complete profile. Friday: back in mein Heimat. O turned 9, and we did stuff. Guilt It's a powerful tool. RICHARDS REGISTER - All about life, love and family. Saturday, May 26, 2012. Before the ceremony the Sealer spoke to us for a minute and he asked Sean his name. After proudly stating his full name, he quickly and not so silently "transformed" down on to the chair he was sitting on. Sean might have known we were someplace special, but his personality still came out! He said all the good people who don't live on the earth anymore. We clarified by asking - do you mean those who died? Ryan and Grandma Gail.

Tuesday, November 13, 2007. Whew, here we go. I can now say, "ala Bob". I think that this will be fun, if I have the time, that is. Here is a shot of our frosty November. I took this first thing in the morning in a vineyard outside of Riquewihr, in the Alsace region of France. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). San Jose, CA, United States. View my complete profile. RICHARDS REGISTER: December 2014
http://richardsregister.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
RICHARDS REGISTER - All about life, love and family. Tuesday, December 30, 2014. Homeschool Stops and Starts. One of the things that we did well, most of the time, was reading. The boys and I love our reading time and while there were times we watched more tv than read, we still have a good love of reading. I am also getting braver at taking the boys with me to library and they are starting to understand what is expected there. Three random pictures (l to r): Sean overcame his fear of climbing! We have d...

RICHARDS REGISTER: Out With the Old, In With the New

RICHARDS REGISTER - All about life, love and family. Thursday, January 1, 2015. Out With the Old, In With the New. I can hardly believe that another year has come and gone. So much, and so little has happened in 2014. As I just started updating my blog again and I didn't get around to mailing out Christmas cards, I wanted to take a moment and write down some of the happenings of 2014 and my thoughts for a new year. While it seems like we just stumbled along this year many things did happen. Learned many ...

RICHARDS REGISTER - All about life, love and family. Sunday, November 16, 2014. I love to see the temple. Today I had the wonderful opportunity to attend the dedication of the Phoenix, Arizona temple, for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (see why we build temples here. To be there. RICHARDS REGISTER: Never a dull moment
http://richardsregister.blogspot.com/2015/02/never-dull-moment.html
RICHARDS REGISTER - All about life, love and family. Tuesday, February 3, 2015. Never a dull moment. I have not posted much here about our job struggles, but I feel the need to share now. Maybe to help someone else, maybe just as a record of this time, but I hope maybe to be able to come back and see what we went through and see Heavenly Father's blessings in all things and how we learned and how he allowed us to grow. At least I hope that happens. It is crazy here. There has been a struggle to adjus...
