My blog | Just another WordPress site
Just another WordPress site. Teachnology.org for teacher by teachers. In the big bad world of technology these days, a teacher can get lost. As a Biology Teacher in Pennsylvania for over 10 years, I have learned how to utilize a few stronghold pieces of technology to help me work more wisely in the classroom and to streamline technology as a tool in the 21st century. The sad truth is, is that our society is using technology for EVERYTHING. The reason I say sad? We shouldn’t expect it. We SHOULD...So̷...

TEACHnology in Medicine
Focusing on the incorporation of technology into medical education and the future of medicine. Check out this new app by Epocrates, called Bugs and Drugs. This app is a partnership between Epocrates and athenahealth and leverages their microbiology data for urine, blood, and skin in the cloud. This allows you to see the most common bugs and antibiotic sensitivities in your area. For example, using our region here in Irvine, we’re looking at 2,000 urine samples and 1,200 blood samples.
