Friday, April 30, 2010. Sorry for being so morbid. Tuesday, April 20, 2010. The title says it all. Tuesday, April 6, 2010. Wednesday, March 24, 2010. I'm reading The Birth of Tragedy. teaganwhite: January 2010

http://teaganwhite.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html

Friday, January 29, 2010. I just realized that i still have photos on my phone that i took at the field museum in chicago over break. Taxidermy, insects, native american things, and other stuff i love. Fake storefront that looks real. I don't know what these maps were for but i like them. Something to do with rocks maybe. Adorable educational figurines for kids, of native american gods. My favorite (right), and my brother's favorite (left). Native american textiles are beautiful beautiful beautiful.

teaganwhite: kanevsky

http://teaganwhite.blogspot.com/2010/03/kanevsky.html

Saturday, March 6, 2010. For the past two weeks i've been unhealthily obsessed with alex kanevsky's paintings. I'm desperate to see his work in person, since websites never do a painting justice. i'm hoping to get out to new york during the summer, when some of his work will be shown at the J Cacciola gallery, along with Sophie Jodoin who i also love. March 14, 2010 at 12:25 AM. Thanks for introducing me to kanevsky. :). April 13, 2010 at 3:05 PM. Agreed. Totally inspiring. April 15, 2010 at 5:04 PM.

teaganwhite: May 2009

http://teaganwhite.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html

Saturday, May 23, 2009. Old things are much better than new things. I've been to about a million antique shops in the past two days. It's very sad to think about how decorative and lasting things used to be compared to how they are now. "back in the day" even potato sacks looked nice, with little illustrations and stenciled letters on burlap. now potatoes come in plastic bags that end up in landfills. Nothing is made to last anymore; the tragedy of this is that so many things grow more beautiful with age.

http://ailea-studio.blogspot.com/2013/02/interactive-comic.html

Monday, February 4. So I have finally made the first draft of a documentation video for the Interactive Comic I created for my senior exhibition in 2008. This is not a final version. I am still learning how to use the video and audio equipment and how to edit them. For a first timer however, I'm not dissatisfied. To allow an Actionscript file to use data from connected Wii-motes. Alison Stump's Sketch Blog: Triple Creek Brew

http://ailea-studio.blogspot.com/2011/11/triple-creek-brew.html

Sunday, November 6. Some of you may know, my father is a very talented amateur beer brewer. He has an imperial stout and an irish red ale that are particularly stupendous. For his birthday I designed the first of what I hope to be a series of initial label designs for his brand. The wolf stands for Grey Wolf Stout and Triple Creek is representative of the area of Beaverton in which we reside. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

http://ailea-studio.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html

Tuesday, June 29. The stars are so beautiful here and the sky is so big. I feel closer to myself and find my thoughts somewhat easier to grasp than normal. Some days I find myself so frustrated with my own emotions. It is a constant struggle for me to form my ideas into coherent words that others can understand. My thoughts constantly seem to spin like a tornado of color and flavor and indescribable feeling. Links to this post. Monday, June 28. You really feel your own place here. You feel time move ...

Alison Stump's Sketch Blog: April 2011

http://ailea-studio.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html

Thursday, April 14. Over a year ago I asked my friends on Facebook to name their favorite flowers and I would create an art piece from their inspiration. The scratchboard and watercolor piece I created just a few weeks later is one of my favorite finished works I've ever done. The problem was that that Christmas I ended up giving it to my parents as a gift before I had had the opportunity to document it. You can also see the original planning sketch here. Alison Stump's Sketch Blog: SQL queries vs iterating through PHP

http://ailea-studio.blogspot.com/2013/03/sql-queries-vs-iterating-through-php.html

Thursday, March 7. SQL queries vs iterating through PHP. So I was playing with code today. A very common loop in PHP is the foreach loop, which is especially useful for iterating through arrays. However, when dealing with more complex multidimensional arrays, like those you get from an SQL query they are big and bloaty so I figured there must be a better way to get the exact information I wanted from the database in one SQL query. Here is what I started with. Which I also want to learn more about as well.

ღWelcome to my site! February 29, 2016. This weekend, I had a volleyball tournament in Regina. Some of my family came and stayed in the same hotel. We played 5 games on Saturday, and 3 on Sunday. We placed 4th out of 12 teams, so I think we did pretty good. I had a lot of fun during the weekend and I cannot wait for our next tournament in April! January 4, 2016. On my Christmas vacation, I went to Phoenix, AZ, with my mom’s side of the family! It was really, really fun! November 6, 2015. October 27, 2015.
