A Tribute to Life: Please Mr. Postman
http://lifetimeofadventures.blogspot.com/2013/10/please-mr-postman.html
A Tribute to Life. The things, thoughts and moments that compose a random yet sacred world. Monday, October 14. Please Mr. Postman. This takes me to the stories about the abysmal state of our postal system- not making payments to pensions, laying off workers, eliminating positions, routes, offices. It all sounds terrible. And the only thing that makes it more terrible? How many more stops before hitting my mailbox? Only my package's, dare I say, temporary caretaker knows. View my complete profile.

A Tribute to Life: June 2013
http://lifetimeofadventures.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
A Tribute to Life. The things, thoughts and moments that compose a random yet sacred world. Saturday, June 15. Worries and trifles are shifted right into their place. The smooth and controlled beauty of their flight was entrancing and also appeared effortless. This entire moment sort of made me want to just pitch a tent and stay right there forever. What a great place to take in and how fortunate I feel to have it right at my fingertips whenever I want it. Thank you, West Virginia- my forever host.

A Tribute to Life: October 2012

A Tribute to Life. The things, thoughts and moments that compose a random yet sacred world. Monday, October 15. This past weekend, I had a mildly rude awakening. It started innocently enough- a simple trip to the movies with my niece, Sydni. The last time we went to the movies to see the newest Ice Age movie, we had seen a preview for Frankenweenie. Tim Burton's newest creation. Since then, I think I've driven her completely crazy trying to schedule a time for us to see Frankenweenie. Friday, October 12.

A Tribute to Life. The things, thoughts and moments that compose a random yet sacred world. Tuesday, September 25. Outdoor Reading, Part One. The climbing culture is one that fascinates me. Perhaps one of the most fascinating moments I've had was watching Alex Honnold's interview on 60 Minutes. Krakauer takes time to explain a lot of history, which is interesting, and he also details the evolution of the commercialized Everest climb. The latter, in fact, was the primary motivation for Outdoor. Just about...

A Tribute to Life: A Favorite Place
http://lifetimeofadventures.blogspot.com/2013/10/a-favorite-place.html
A Tribute to Life. The things, thoughts and moments that compose a random yet sacred world. Tuesday, October 15. Several years ago, while living in New Jersey and working in New York City, I decided to embark on a spiritual journey. I went through the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) at St. Mary's Parish. And so, armed with my new faith, when I moved back to the Ohio Valley, I attended mass at a few different spots and decided St. Joseph's Cathedral. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

A Tribute to Life: August 2013
http://lifetimeofadventures.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
A Tribute to Life. The things, thoughts and moments that compose a random yet sacred world. Saturday, August 31. Weekend Adventures: Master Naturalist. Thankfully, I stumbled upon the West Virginia Master Naturalist Program. Still a fairly nascent program, the effort started around 2003 and was a cooperative effort among several state agencies and a couple of educational institutions. It has definitely grown and expanded in that time, and I'm lucky enough to live near Oglebay Park. Later this fall, I'm l...

A Tribute to Life. The things, thoughts and moments that compose a random yet sacred world. Wednesday, August 29. Tuesday, August 21. A Tribute to Natural Health. Regardless of the variables, I just happened to find a new doctor who is a D.O., doctor of osteopathic medicine. I've gotten very lucky, too, because she's extremely thorough and, from her many suggestions, she demonstrates that she lives by what she teaches patients. Tuesday, August 7. It's in your hands. Monday, August 6. I am a self-proclaim...

A Tribute to Life. The things, thoughts and moments that compose a random yet sacred world. Thursday, June 28. I've started a new book, written by the author of. Laura Hillenbrand. Her new book, titled. Is the tale of Louie Zamperini and World War II. Hillenbrand has a gift for taking history and transforming it into a wonderfully entertaining written account. I remember picking up. Friday, June 22. Knowledge on the Doorstep. Years ago, I developed an affinity for The New York Times. Just earlier this we...

A Tribute to Life: Morning Song
http://lifetimeofadventures.blogspot.com/2013/09/morning-song.html
A Tribute to Life. The things, thoughts and moments that compose a random yet sacred world. Sunday, September 29. Nature has a morning song. So beautiful when it plays. That no one must listen for very long. Before peace takes heart and mind as stowaways. The birds raise from their slumber and greet the rising sun,. They flit and flutter from here to there and across fences and rooftops they run. The morning dew, it drips and drops from every leaf and limb,. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Bell J...
