Skip to main content. Having fun and riding our bikes. P&M 105 was built by Richard Peckett for sponsor Colin Aldridge in the winter of 1980 for the 81 F1 season. One of only two "works J type" Kawasaki engines that found their way to the UK that year. Was used. Originally the motor had an 8-plug head and Nikasil barrels and produced a claimed 130 bhp. It is now fitted with a standard Z1100 top end but still has the original cases and CR gearbox. Engine Transverse 4 cylinder, air cooled four stroke.

During its year off the track the engine has had a complete rebuild with new/old barrel, high comp pistons, new valves/guides and all new bearings. The forks have been serviced and a new belt cover made and fitted. Engine Triumph 6T/Grand Prix, four stroke twin air cooled. Carburation Twin Amal type 6. Ignition BTH Racing magneto. Gearbox 4 speed close ratio. Clutch/drive 4 plate with Newby belt drive. Frame Manx Norton M40 (350). Top speed 100 plus.

Having visited numerous tracks around the UK and Europe and watched (through chain fences) hundreds of other riders having fun, we decided we could do that and have a go ourselves. A group of individuals who enjoy having fun and riding our bikes. Sharing the enjoyment of racing motorcycles and competing with ourselves on the track. An interesting mix of people from a yacht skipper, an accountant, business owners and company directors.

Skip to main content. Having fun and riding our bikes. Here is another race gem which was found via the TJR website. The Harris F1 is now back on the track where she belongs. The motor is a full works XR69 prepared by the guru himself Pops Yoshimura to the same spec as Wes Cooleys Suzuki AMA superbike. We are in the process of gathering more details about the bike and will update the information as we go. Engine Suzuki XR69 transverse 4 cylinder air cooled four stroke. Carburetion 33mm Mikuni Smoothbores.
