Early Days of the "wood" - Teasel Conservation Group. A Look at the Early Days. The wood was a real community supported project that was planted by 75 local people. They turned out with their gardening tools to do the planting and no doubt had some fun on the way. It is great to see that young people were part of that 75 and clearly enjoyed the experience. Below are a few pictures of the volunteers at work carefully following the detailed planting plan that you can see on the right. Early Days of the wood.

Hay Making Saturday 20th September 12:30, please bring a rake if you have one, have a picnic with you and enjoy some community fun whilst helping to increase the biodiversity of the Reserve. If wet will go for Sunday. Have a look at last years pictures under the Nature Resesrve tab below. This little wood is a gift to the people of Stotfold from their Town Council, planted in 1994 to mark the inauguration of the parish council one hundred years before.

Oak Tree Planting - Teasel Conservation Group. Oak Tree Planted in Memory of Ex Teasel Member Ian Fisher. For the past 2 years Teasel had been discussing the planting of a Coronation Oak to celebrate the Queen's 60 years on the throne. We were then approached by relatives of Ian Fisher who had sadly passed away. They donated 50 towards the tree and Teasel agreed to buy it and site beyond the large ash tree on the edge of Meadow 2.
