My journey through breast cancer. March 13, 2015. I saw Dr.Lekkas on Wednesday, 3/11 for a check-up from my surgery. I really don’t have too much to report except that all looked good to him and he didn’t feel as though I needed any revisions (phew). It is pretty common, after a surgery like this, that they have to do a revision/adjustment but not with me-yippie! My journey through breast cancer. September 21, 2014. 3 Weeks of Radiation To Go! I wanted to provide an update on how my radiation if going thus far. So far, so good! I am now more than half-way done with radiation-woo hoo! The first three and half weeks have gone by pretty fast! The tiredness is starting to pick up too! Wednesday, September 24, 2014. Weekend Getaway - Albuquerque. Last Wednesday, Henderson and I headed to Albuquerque for the American Association of Bovine Practitioners Conference. Goals: learning (Henderson), shopping and relaxing (me). Our plane didn't leave until close to 9 Wednesday night so we got in pretty late, for me anyway. Thursday morning, Henderson headed to the conference to check-in and then came back so that we could head out to lunch. The building the restaurant is in was built in 1785.

Wednesday, August 26, 2015. Two weeks ago, I woke to a phone call from my daddy at 5:24 am. I knew exactly what he was going to tell me. I don't know how exactly, but I knew. Wednesday, November 26, 2014. Thursday, November 20, I got full. This time it only took me 13 days to feel full. You don't even know the rejoicing that happened in our house! Days 1-6 I feel nauseaous so I don't eat any more than I have to. Days 7-11 my taste buds are so bad that I cannot eat anything. I think this time I ate 1000 calories over 3 days. Days 12-13 my mouth is too dry to eat anything. It's a vicious cycle. But guess what? I don't have to do it anymore! And I had to get a selfie! Daddy came...

Friday, January 30, 2015. January 2, Henderson was off so we headed to Dallas to eat at Pecan Lodge. It was rainy and nasty, but we still stood outside and in line for over an hour. Crossfit Ellis moved to a new location and had an open house. Of course, I had to grab a pic of HK working out! Enjoying a fire with my two fave men. One of my favorite meals - In-N-Out Burger. Monday, May 25, 2015. Another round of iPhone picture updates! Erin teaching me how to breathe during one of our runs. So glad to have someone to exercise with! I had a herceptin treatment and the lady across from me was celebrating her last chemo with these delicious cookies! That same day there was a free ice cream truck at the office.
