The eWorld of Stefanie. Sharing is caring should be every teachers motto! One of my favourite places to look online for valuable information (other than Pinterest! Is Youtube. I also believe it is imperative for the continual progression and professionalism of teachers locate and share resources (those of value of course) with each other in the interest of our core business, that being, to educate, support and differentiate material and resources to our students. Using ICTs on Prac. June 14, 2015. If you read my post ‘7 Sleeps’. You would now that one of my main concerns for prac this semester was how I would integrate ICTs into my teaching and students learning experiences. Technology use is not one of my strengths, though I do feel I am fairly competent. Upon meeting my mentor teacher I was told that I had access to an interactive whiteboard, five laptops within the classroom (others could be borrowed), and four iPads. My first thought was great! The eWorld of Stefanie. I think it is important that when reading blogs, readers have the opportunity to ‘get to know’ the author so here’s a few things about myself:. 1 I have wanted to be a teacher ever since I was a little girl. During the school holidays I would force my younger cousins to watch television and I would write tests for them to do and mark. 2 Although my study areas are English and BCT, I have a passion for technology and its continual influences and application to secondary education.

The eWorld of Stefanie. In saying this, I would like to post some of the views of my peers in EDC3100. After reading my fair share of blog pages, I have compiled a selected few below in which have helped me with my learning so far in education and ICTs. Alice’s Blog, ‘ EDC ThirtyOneHundred Blog’. Stephen’s Blog, ‘Blog’sploitation’. Sara’s Blog, ‘Teaching with ICTs’. To not value their stances and opinions. I can conclude that my stance on ICTs and education is quite obvious in the way I teach already....

The eWorld of Stefanie. Have you ever used ‘Kahoot’? I have and think its super dooper! During my last prac, I was introduced to an online program called ‘Kahoot’ (click HERE. At my prac school, each student as per their book list, was required to have a personal iPad that assisted in making Kahoot a success within the classroom. Some background on Kahoot:. At the end of the game, teachers are presented with a spreadsheet...

I found it really helped me to focus on each section the lesson. i found this I Do, We Do, You Do. That has a clear description of this strategy. Id Do: the teacher introduces the topic, explains any content specific terms, and models the strategies the students will be using during the lesson. Lesson planning using C2C during placement. NEVER take Candy from a Stranger! May 10, 2015. When I was growing up my parents always told me to never take candy from a stranger. So I didn’t take the lollipop from the ‘Your Digital Footprint’ Moodle book. Instead I watched the YouTube clip. Which can be viewed here (Warning this is creepy! Anyway enough from me for now, just be careful out there. Footprints in the Sand →. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Fill in your details below or click an icon to log in:.
